Firework night will soon be upon us ...If you have a dog that is nervous/anxious of fireworks and use a Dog Appeasing Pheromone (DAP) Diffuser/plug in to help calm your dog, now is the time to check whether you need to replace your refill in time for the weeks around November 5th. Please also remember not to comfort your dog when it shows signs of stress. This will only be seen as a sign that you are confirming that their reaction is correct and that behaviour will continue and deepen.

Please ensure your dog has a tag with your details printed on including your mobile pettags.co.uk do really fab tags. Dont be tempted to take your dogs collar off in the house during this period. Never forget the 12 yr old dog that was startled by a firework when in the garden and scrambled over the fence and was missing for 13 days feared dead. No collar as 'in the home'
Also dont let your dog off the lead afternoon, evening time unless you know they are never startled by bangs.
