Emily Shepherdx Rough Collie 3 yrs Gatwick S. Norwood London | Quote: | | a gentle GSD x, black and tan, about 3 years old. Due 09/07 |
Have watched Emily and was convinced a rescue would come forwards for her. 4Paws moved her out of the pound yesterday with nowhere to place her but to take her to safety in hope. I contacted them as they were transporting and sighed a sigh of relief. She is spayed on Thursday and travelling soon after.

She looks adorable what a cutie. If I wasn't full at the inn I would definitely foster this lovely girl.

Emily has arrived..her face says it all. I see the 'Rough Collie in there..definitely Collie shepherd cross. Quiet, sad and oh so attentive. She sees...in the sense she really looks..a keen intelligence there.
Travelled in the front; she did sit but also she chose to stand resting her head on the arm rests. She was quite self contained and at points had a sense of taking a lady out to the shops who didn't get out much.

Emily mixed really well with Bengi and I took them for a walk together both on short leads such was my confidence in both. When we came back, after Alyson had applied a frontline on her, we decided to cat test her.. oh that is interesting. Ofcourse she saw the cat, a massive bum sway and excitement then 3 or 4 barks. Then she turned away to then look back and began again. It was 'oh you excite me' Alyson said Shepherds tend to behave like that and she was probably safe..it was workable. Time for TEA!

What a beauty she will be a lovely addition to anyone's family. She is gorgeous. I give it a week before some very lucky person finds this little soul begging to be loved for what she is.

And here is our latest update :
| Quote: | Hi Dee and Lynne, hope you're both well,
We've been in Hastings for 10 days and Emily absolutely loves the beach and the sea, now that she is off the lead.. She can spend hours diving into the sea to fetch her string of 'sausages'. (The sausages are her favourite toy and she is very funny when she runs around with them). She gets on really well with all the dogs on the beach and has made loads of friends. So many people complement her on what a lovely dog she is and we are very proud of her.
It seems that the only time she has a problem with other dogs is if they are both on leads; it seems to happen when both handlers are a bit worried and the dogs seem to pick up on the atmosphere, the way that dogs do. When everyone is relaxed she is fine. But it's not a problem; she is great with 90% of other dogs although she is wary of most Staffies. She even puts up with lots of little dogs hassling her, she has such a lovely temperament.
Anyway, everything is great and she is eating really well. This is not surprising with the amount of exercise she gets!
If I can work out how to send digital photos I'll send you some (I've taken hundreds!!).
Kind regards
Cathy and Richard

Aw llok at this lovely update :
| Quote: | Hi Dee and Lynne
Hope you're both well. Just thought we'd update you on Emily......
Everything is going great and she is very happy. She mixes very well with all dogs and today played with about ten dogs of all different shapes and sizes on Streatham Common, and had a great time for an hour or so. (So did we.)
Emily is still eating well, although she has a bit of a sensitive stomach (the vet says it's typical of her two breeds) so we are always careful what we feed her. She has recently been to a couple of family parties and was adored by everyone. She is very good in the car which is great as we get down to Hastings as much as possible......she loves that beach!
We're going to give her a bath in a minute because she does like to roll in horrible things, but typically of her she doesn't mind the bath at all.......we've never met such a good natured dog.
We still can't believe how lucky we are to have such a fantastic dog!
Best wishes
Cathy and Richard
