Don't have the heart...Lorenzo has taken to buying any dog parphenalia from charity shops for me. Etched cheapo pictures; framed Retriever pictures; chipped Lab. statues matching pair; chipped spaniel statues matching pair
books on help your puppy! Haven't got the heart to tell him it all leaves me cold Spaniels and Labs are lovely but .... one Jack Russell picture now that I adore! I always remember the man (Reggie Perrin actually) that took his sandwiches every morning from his wife and binned then on his way to work cause he didn't like to tell her it wasn't his favourite!

Steve wasnt a doggie person before we came into his life - we had a real "love me - love my dog" chat at the beginning now ... some years later he came home saying he had a little present for me - i thought wow how romantic (he's an engineer they dont DO romantic!!) and i was duly presented with said gift ...
a set of stamps !!!
OK they were in a nice little wallet and OK they were of 'working dogs' including a very nice border collie my absolute fave but ... Steve .... mate ....
THEY ARE STAMPS !!!!!!!!!!!
I know its supposed to be the thought that counts but STAMPS ???!!

I love all dogs too - but everyone knows better than to even buy a jack ornament for me - because I'd look at it and say, it looks nothing like Missy or Spotty! Neither of them had the drop v ears - which most ornaments have.
