Ryan O'Meara from K9Media is launching two intiatives this month.

The first one is the Dog Owners Suitability Test.

This is a proposal aims to improve pet dog welfare, repeal of the BSL parts of the DDA and battle the homeless dog problem from the demand side of the equation.

The proposals are not finalised and public consultation begins soon. I think Ryan has enough clout to engage the interest of the media. If he can interest the politicians too then this proposal may conceivably have a chance of seeing the light of day. The proposal is not perfect but it is the best that's up for serious consideration and I feel it may be something worthy of our support.

As I said the public consultation begins this month so, in a couple of months time, it should be a far more detailed proposal.
