Chief - 9 Month Old Collie CrossChief is a super 9 month collie x lurcher lad.
He is very clever, very fast and very agile. He is also a very quick and willing learner. He loves a game (toys, people or dogs) and would absolutely love an agility or active home.
Chief is good off lead, is housetrained and knows basic commands. He is living in a multi-dog home and thrives on the comany and stimulation. He would prefer to live with another dog as he loves to play. He is also excellent with childen.
Chief is in foster in Surrey on behalf of Rescue Remedies who would prefer that any prospective homes are in the South East. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and wormed.
If you are interested in adopting Chief please complete our Homing Questionnaire (please save as a Word Doc then attach to email) and Email to joanne@rescueremedies.co.uk

Chief is still in foster but things are getting tense.
He is being picked on by another dog in the family and we desperately need Chief to find his forever home.

Great home for a great dog - homecheck passed and older daughter plus everyone that was there this morning will see Chief tonight at Claire's so that the whole family have met him.
The family have arranged a weekend away this weekend but are chomping at the bit to have him So, if all goes well later they will be cutting short the weekend and are hopefully collecting Chief on the way through on Sunday afternoon.

A message from Chief's new family.....
Hi there Jane & Claire, just a quick email to let you know that Chief is fine, he had a quiet first night, though he did howl once for about half a minute, (which we ignored) he then settled ‘till his first walk at 0630, I kept him on lead all the time, I probably will till Thurs/Fri, when we go over to Horton Park for the second or third time, will send some pics soon, Chintzy & Chief seem to be ignoring each other, hopefully they will run together once Chief comes off the lead, thanks to you both for giving us the opportunity to give him a home I’m sure he will fit in just dandy, kindest regards, Don & family.

| Quote: | Hi Claire, I have some very sad news about Chiefy, he seems to have picked up “lung-worm” which was not picked up by me, he was booked into the vets this morning, thinking he had picked up a bug, but he had to have emergency treatment last night , I spoke to the vets this morning, he is very poorly bleeding into his tummy, I am devastated, but the vets says his age is on his side, of course I will keep you posted

| Quote: | Hello Jane, I am very sorry to have to tell you that Chief died yesterday at midday, we cannot believe that it was lung-worm, he seemed to be responding to treatment in the morning, then he went rapidly downhill later on they had to put him on oxygen & could not stop the bleeding in the stomach....we are having his ashes and will plant a rose tree, although he was only with us for a few months ,he will be sadly missed, Jack is devastated, we all are, especially when the vet said that lung-worm is not uncommon in this area and is treatable if caught soon enough, I feel I have let the little fellow down terribly, kind regards to you both, Don & family

Goodnight Chiefy Chops..........
