Boycie (Brad) Staffie x DOB 16.07.09 Canvey Island Essex

Little Brad arrived into our care last night with his 3 brothers and 2 sisters
Dee

Here is the super star himself :

Sorry none of the pictures are great, not wonderful lighting in the lounge!!

Better ones will follow but may take some time!! LOL

Brad delightful little guy.  Very vocal and likes to have attention. Probably the noisiest of them all!! So gorgeous though already full of staffie kisses and possibly the boldest of them all with our other dogs.

Had first dose of wormer today and all eating and drinking well!!  Laughing

Not sure what they are crossed with to be honest too young to know. But very Staffie in personality. all bundles of love  Very Happy

Brad is doing very well. Had his first injection on 29th September and was micro chipped. Has also completed first lot of wormers.

He is definitely still the most vocal of them all (general spokeperson i think!). Again just so very Staffie in personality loving and friendly and just very, very happy.

And boy does he love his tug toy :

So sweet  Very Happy

Brad doing very well. Settles more each day. Not quite the little mad and vocal guy he was at first.

Such a loving boy and always on the go.

He has small hernia that our vet is keeping an eye on. Will be taking him back this week to see whether he needs an op!

Of course the picture Lynne has taken of him just makes me look like a liar as he is happily lying down and playing tug with Boris!!!

Brad is currently travelling in the car with his very own family. The broad smiles and laughter have began and all are feeling very Licky!
Dee

Well our lovely Boycie (Brad) now off in his new home and making himself very much at home.

Was worried about him being an only dog due to his attachment to any dog or puppy but as soon as his new family arrived he never left their side. He clearly had made his choice!

Is absolutely smitten with Kai (1 yr old) and very fond of Leigh who is such a very sweet and caring little girl. When family were leaving she opened the car door and said "don't worry we will take good care of him" got a real knot in my throat and not a single concern that he was not going to the right home.

So wonderful for him and such a loving and caring family for this special little guy to go to.

Just have a look at this wonderful picture :

Had a wonderful night and is currently sneaking onto sofa every time Sally's back is turned. Though Kai very happy to try and share Boycie's bed with him!! LOL

HELP

Ok people i need brain storming! Boycie will not eat. Been down the vets as i thought maybe he was teething.  THe vet has given me pills to give him.  I have tried all foods dry and wet but he just dosn't seem interested what so ever.  If you give him a HUMAN treats he eats that with no problem.  I have tried (Chappie, Dried Food, food Dee gave us, Spam mixed in with food, Tripe, Cooked chicken mixed with dog food)  Im worried now as i have never owned a dog who didn't eat.  Any ideas?  He is looking very skinny Sad

Have pm'd you
Triggzz

Hi havnt got no PM,  Ok managed to ffed him a little chicken last night.  He loved it.  SO this morning i cooked him some sausages which i mixed in with his dog food, the little bugger picked out a few sausages then went completly off the whole lot.  I'm thinking he might not like pork , tripe etc.  GOing to try various grades or dry food today (will keep you people posted.

Hi just to let you know that Marco can be very picky with his food too and sometimes will not eat. I sometimes mix things in, which occasionally works but like Boycie  he will pick the interesting bits out!  He is also great for treats any kind! Confused   I leave the food down for about an hour then take it away, and sometimes he eats a little, other times he eats it all. If there is any cat food around he would scoff the lot so I have to make sure he doesn't get it. He is on three meals a day and is growing still. I have tried various foods and he was the same with all of them so now I just stick to one food.  I hope this helps a little as it is a worry. Rolling Eyes

Hi
I still feed Boris Nature diet (which he was on when he was with Dee) mixed with a few biscuits. He also likes chicken and veg in fact everything! Im probably not the best person to ask as Boris has always been the pig of the family and at 14and a half kilos still does not stop! I hope Boycie starts eating more regularly for you soon. x
irishemeraldlady

Just wondering if anything i suggested has worked? Or have you got my suggestion's at all?
Triggzz

Yes thank you for your suggestions.  Nothink has worked hes just being fussy i think, So im trying putting his bowl out 3 x day with dry mix for 1 hour then if he dosn't eat im taking it away.  I think half the problem is that my lad gives him treats all the time, so when we eat i keep him away.  Hopefully after a few days he might learn.

GREAT NEWS

He is eating like a real trooper now!  I took away all the chicken etc and he's relised that dog food isn't so bad when your hungry.
