Bono Jack Russell 10 yrsBono sadly had to be put to sleep on Monday. Julie is devastated and Archie is missing his friend as are we
Bono is 10 yrs old and always been loved; known he wouldn’t cope with toddlers and so he has been staying with their mother since baby was born but this can only be short term. He has been playing up with Grandma! Trying it on and so he is going into kennels with us waiting for his new terrier confident home to come up. Super duper terrier with looks to swoon over; good health and absolute charmer. Can be a bit nippy when not firmly and kindly managed!

I only wish my hubby was up for another dog and Id give him a home!
I rather fancy an 'oldie' to go with my two 4 year old westies, but think I'll have to settle for two!

Bono comes into Foster on Thursday 5th Jun..if we need to move him to kennels we will.

Bono is on Bone-us he came to us today..and having never had a dog in his house and not fully predictable with dogs...he was mixed with 6 dogs in the garden and 'playing with Scooby' He looked so happy then came over..do you have postcards for sale I want to send one to my mum saying..'wish you were here having a great holiday!'

I hardly know I have Bono, other when he comes over, gives me that look that melts you and as i bend down it's washy nose time! He mixes with the dogs; relates to them very well and loves to play with the young pups. He enjoys sitting in the sun; his food and cuddles. Lovely boy.

Bono is reserved. Dream come true..he loves to play and he loves to play with Pip Squeak..well Michael and Irene will be coming to visit Bono with their Patterdale Charlie on Sunday..in their car they will have their daughter and family who lives next door and offering their home to Pip Squeak

No ...on meeting the family the children are very touchy feely..so although Bono did very well..I don't think he can be doing with kids stuff..i.e. toddlers hanging off his mane! The family were very sensible and heeded our advice..opting to meet Lulu!

Yes Julie and Archie are just so Bono's kind of people. He has arrived home been introduced to everything by Archie a 1/2 pint 2-3 yr old version of Bono..and they have even shared toys. Julie has had the licks on her nose- a statement of love and trust to his new mum. Fingers crossed but really feel judging by how Bono was here this situation will suit him down to the ground.

The first 48 hours were a bit fractious, Archie, my other little terrier had the hump big time, and Bono was trying to be top dog. Anyway, Archie only ended up with 1 pierced ear, and Bono lost a little fur around the neck. After about 2 days, they had sorted themselves out, with a little help from me and are now the best of buddies. Playing with toys together and generally doing terrier things.I even caught them sleeping in the same bed the other night. Bono is fully trustworthy off the lead, and his recall is excellent unless he see's sheep, horses, cows, geese, bunnies bla bla bla, but now I know that I just pop the lead on him. He does get on well with other dogs. He adores swimming as does Archie, so they have great fun seeing who can swim to the stick fastest and bring it back to me. All in all, he is a great dog and I would encourage anyone who has a young dog to consider taking on an old one, they complement each other perfectly. He now enjoys a cuddle, and having his tummy stroked, but not for too long, when he's had enough, he just slopes off and does his own thing.
