karen

Sorry - R's birthday weekend so I will be otherwise occupied Confused
Bud

There are over 700 pet shop & suppliers in the South East and London Area.......any way sent the first 100 out today with Labels so there is no excuse for these shop/supplies not to send stuff out (Tina D its your work address) the ones in Kent i have offered to collect...keep your fingers crossed...
Tina D

You are a little star Nicky!!! notworthy
karen

Laughing Great work - well done Exclamation  We should probably compile a list of who we have approached and have donated so that we don't go back to them too soon Wink We will also need to do thank you letters too.
Bud

yep the letter states that we will offer free advertising for the "gifts donated by" on the stand and our web page. I can email the letter if any one needs it, as for the addresses I went to YELL.com and tried to copy and paste and it didn't work...but i can send a printed copy to who ever needs it? or send the link from the yell pages..

Nicci: That's an truly amazing effort - can't thank you enough.  Fingers crossed that some respond.

Tina:
Can you keep a record of what comes in from where as we will need to do thank you letters, keep track for our list of donators for our stall display and keep a list of their websites so that we can put them on ours as 'friends' of our rescue.

Thanks  Very Happy
Rhea

Hi All,

I am a stones throw from Dartford!!! (well a 15min drive)

I am more than happy to help out with the stall on the day if you need an extra pair of hands???

Rhea

Tina D

We ALWAYS need an extra pair of hands Rhea!! Thanks!!
Tina D

A plea to all you lovely RR people out there... Is there anyone who could actually RUN this stall?????? Miss Sharon will be away sunning herself and i have the offer of going away for the weekend. Obviously if i can't get anyone to do the stall, i wont go but is there anyone who could do it?? Please?? Pretty Please??  Very Happy
Tina D

I have just realised that there is no address here for this one!!! Although it would be fun to have a "hunt the dogshow" treasure hunt, it might be more useful to have the actual address!!!!  Laughing

The address is: (drumroll please!)
Central Park
Cranford Road,
Dartford
DA1 1Jp

I got this from t'internet so fingers crossed it is all correct!!  Very Happy
Rhea

Hello!!

As the weekend is fast approaching, just a quick note to see what time you need me on Sunday?? As i am only 10 mins away i can get there as early as you need me.

Rhea. x
Tina D

Don't worry Tina, I'll give you an early morning call cos I'll be an hour ahead!!!!  Very Happy
Tina D

No Sharon, you're alright!!!! I will just get there at 9:30!!!!!!!
Hazel

I live just 5 mins away from the park  Very Happy .  I am used to going out early, most sundays we have a show, either breed, obedience or agility all with early starts.  8.00 is a lay in  Laughing
Tina D

I don't normally stay in bed late on the weekends but i dread to think what time i would have to get up to be there by 8!! I don't think there would be enough coffee in the world to keep me going!!  Laughing

Very excited! I am praying that it isn't raining/windy!!!
Rhea

Hi All,

Tina- sorry i missd your call Wednesday Night, at work at the mo, will call you tonight!

I will get there at around 9.30 on sunday.

Forecast for the weather on BBC news is Sunny Intervals!

Confused I think i might pack my brolly, thermals, welly's and sunglasses, you never know!!  Laughing
Tina D

No problem Rhea, hope to speak to you later!  Very Happy

It is true, you never know and the weather men seem to change their minds from one day to the next. Prepare for the worst and pray for the best!!  Very Happy
Tina D

Just a reminder to everyone that this dog show is tomorrow! My partner in crime (Sharon is away so it will be my Mum, myself, Lucie and the lovely Rhea doing this one. Please stop by if you are in the area!!!!!!!
karen

Good luck today - hope it all goes well and another rosette for Lucie perhaps Wink
Tina D

No rosettes for Lucie! She did go in for best rescue and did the "improvers" obedience class. I was sooooo proud of her today!!  Very Happy considering that most others that entered seemed to go regularly to training classes, she did really well! Even managed to do the 30 sec sit-stay and 1 min down-stay (no one was more surprised than me!!!  Very Happy )

Anyway, back to the day! On the stall today were me, my Mum and the lovely Rhea (who brought us a bag of dog goodies for our tombola!!) Her Mum and Dad also stopped by with their dog Sid, a lovely Springer  Very Happy

My favourite boy Moss also stopped by with his Humans  Very Happy He told me he is coming to Paws next week so i am very excited!!! Paul and Annie gave us two money bags of change and some paper money too (they are very naughty!!) but did leave with some liver cake so i am sure Moss thinks it is a fair swap  Laughing

Some ladies on the stall next to us (Pro Dogs Direct) bought most of our dog harnesses and i made friends with some of their dogs (My Mum said they only loved me for the liver cake i kept feeding them but it's not true!!! They just loved MMEEE!!!!  Laughing )

For this stall we did a £1 table, dog and kid's tombola, ball in a bucket, dog biscuits and Open a Window and we raised...

are you ready?...

wait for it...

drum roll...

£235!!!!!!!!  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

Pictures will follow (you know what i am like though but i will try and sort it out ASAP )

Our next event is: Culture in the park, Hampshire, 13th September or Paws in the Park, Hops Farm, Kent 12th and 13th September. Please come along and support us/say hello!!!!

Fantastic - well done all of you - that is brilliant Laughing

Lucie should have got a rosette Evil or Very Mad Sounds like it was a fab day  Laughing
Sharonr - Admin

I think I will be leaving you to it more often!  Thought of you often today.  Congratulations and well done to you all from sunny Spain!
Hazel

That's a brilliant amount to raise.

The show raised £340 Very Happy
Dee

Aw excellent.

WOW welldone you gals  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing
Paul&Annie

Wow! What a brilliant total, well done everyone!

Lucie should have been awarded a rosette for being pretty in pink and for being such a well behaved girl.

Moss is very  happy with just all the cuddles and fuss, the liver cake is a bonus.  As for being allowed to share Lucie's hot dog, I think that was the highlight of his day.  When he was dreaming last night I expect he had visions of sausages from heaven.

Paul loved the ball in the bucket game! (He is a grown up really)

Fantastic result all round.

Will pass that message on to my dad who kindly cut the holes in the wood for the buckets!  Another charity had one at an event I helped at and I notice that both adults and kids loved it so decided to make one.  My next venture for 2010 events is a "Whack the Rat", but TinaD has a few reservations!  Very Happy
xxlynne

Oh whow deep deep gratitude. We really don't mind you competing as to who can raise the most!!!!

Never forget  you are planting seeds and our dog's homes will lead from every 'fund raising day Cool  Our little missionaries!
Rhea

Hi All,

I had a great day yesterday!! I'm sitting at my desk in work with every muscle in my body aching!!!

I was in trouble with my boy Bruce when i got home!!   Rolling Eyes

I got in and flopped on the sofa for my ritual "welcome home mum" cuddles and kisses, but oh no Bruce was more interested in sniffing my clothes and hands. He knew i'd been with other Dogs!! He gave me a look that said "MUM YOU HAVE BEEN CHEATING!!!" Embarassed After the look of he made a bee line for the bag of liver cake, Don't worry Tina it is now safely in my freezer ready for next weekend, and that was it he didn't even look at me for the rest of the evening!!  Crying or Very sad

All was forgiven this morning after his walk!!! Laughing

See you all soon at Paws in the Park.

Rhea

Tina D

Thanks should go to Hazel too for letting us know about this one and kindly letting us have a stall!!!

Rhea: I am sure that you could sneak Bruce a piece or two of liver cake, it should be taste-tested every now and again to make sure it is ok!!  Wink

Hola! Ah ha, so you think they don't have internet access in Spain eh!! So sold off my family heirlooms for a mere quid did you!  Shaking in your boots now  Question

Well, well done you because RR needs the funding badly and so much better to have brought some money in than a lot of unwanted stuff sitting in boxes in a garage somewhere.  Keep up the good work while I'm away Wink

Hasta luego!  Laughing
