Would we be able to use this venue as our meet up? East meets West? we will be there! and i would think Stevies lot will be there as well....
|
Tina D
|
I was just talking to Miss Sharon this morning about that!!!! Yes, it does seem like Monday was the only day that we could meet up and now we are doing this (couldn't really pass it up as it is an oportunity to raise more pennies!!! ) We could use it for a meet up, either the whole day with people helping out or we could meet at the end and go for dinner-ther must be a pub or something nearby. I think it ends at 3pm so wouldn't be too late for anyone

Bud

ohhh that sounds great....and you know i will give you hand if you need it...

|
Tina D

We hope to be able to come along and say Hi on Monday.
We have a small bag of bits we have been putting together. We tried to pick things that you can use for tombola / ball in the bucket prizes, or you may be able to sell them at the boot fair. We will drop them off and then you can do what you like with them.
Moss is already licking his chops looking forward to dog biscuits and is practising rolling over ready for belly rubs.
|
Tina D
|
Yay!!!! I get to see Moss!!!! I will make sure i bring loads of liver cake!!!
|

|
TinaD was glug, glug, glugging under a mountain of liver cake formula today last time I heard. So if she re-surfaces and the weather is fine we hope to have a great event tomorrow at Barleylands.
Looking forward to seeing all our visitors too. Plus a new recruit who is stopping by mid-morning to re-stock the stall ... my dad is putting in an appearance which I'm chuffed about, but ... hide your picnics just in case he gets peckish!
Praying for sunshine and a bumper fundraising day.

The liver cake is baked and bagged and the BBC assures me that the weather will be fine!!!!!! If anyone wants to stop by it should be a fun day!!!
Look out Billericay, Rescue Remedies are coming!!!!!

Boy oh boy, another fun day and the Barleylands gate people kindly let our cars (Tina's & mine) in for free which was much appreciated Ollie&Bex turned up just after we pitched our cars, but fortunately as Tina parks like a girl ( ) we were able move her car up and add Ollie & Bex on the end! They did their bootsale and donated some of their proceeds and the kids kept us well amused throughout the day
Our stall today was manned by TinaD, her mum Lilian, my mum Rose and a special appearance by my dad Brian! Discovered dad is capable of flogging bird seed up there with the best of them
We seemed to hand out more rehoming posters than usual today, so fingers crossed that it might result in a home for one of our dogs some time in the future.
We also had visits by Moss (RR JRT) and his owners Paul & Annie and Nicci & Karl with Bud (Staffie). We always appreciate seeing our RR friends and their dogs and very much welcome their support.
I took along the RR dog t-shirt sample to show Tina and during the course of the day a lady with a very tiny cute pup came along and agreed to model so photos will follow. Plus shocking TinaD costume photos!
The amount raised today was ... drum roll ... £185!
Our next fundraising event will be: 6 Sept 2009 - Dartford Companion Dog Show, Central Park, Dartford, Kent, DA1 1JP (entrance in Cranford Road)

A brilliant result for fundraising again and so nice to meet up with all our new RR friends..... Lucie, Bud and Moss..... and all the lovely 2 legged ones....... Take Care till the next one...... Julie and family.... XXXXX
PS Tony is NOT happy that Bex has come home with a pair of FREE Heelys.....LOL!!!!!!!
PPS I drove past my childhood home and school today.....who'd have thought I came from Billericay......????

i do NOT park like a girl!!!!! Blinking cheek!!! I deliberately left a big gap so that we would have a bigger pitch!!!!!! And a good job i did or Julie and co would have been far far away!!!!
It was indeed a good day, Sharon's dad is lovely (it is indeed a mystery how they ended up with her ) and he agreed with my pricing strategy (i had to duck a few blows from Sharon and her Mum as they thought i was pricing too cheeply, as always!), so he is my new favourite person It was also fantastic seeing all of the RR friends again
I have managed to get sunburn AGAIN!!!!!! WHY do i not learn!!!???? We even had suncream in the car!!! I would have come back with less stuff than i went with but stopped off at Sharon's house where she loaded me up with more!!
Thank you everyone who came along!! i will put up photos soon, includuing my fab new stuff, adorable Max the puppy-modeling our RR t-shirt and other very interesting things!!!!

Well done to all of the gang on another successful fundraiser!
We noticed that your stall was the only one that was having a laugh and having any fun!
Moss loved all the fuss, cuddles and food!
See you again soon.

Would anyone like to see pictures of the boot sale???
You would???!!
Well, here you go then!!!
Our stall!!
The boot sale posse!!
My Mum wearing a fetching hat!
Max the puppy, modelling the RR dog shirt kindly given to us by Penny. (look for the t shirt thread if you want to order one/some/loads, i will be sorting out the orders etc very soon)
and last, but not least:
Me in my new Hippy "costume" kindly given to me by a lucky couple who are emigrating!! There is an Austin Powers purple velvet hat too but it was too windy for it and it kept flying away! I am actually wearing a black wig but it doesn't look too bad in this photo!!
