12-13 Sept 2009 - PAWS in the Park, Kent

Hi All

Not sure if RR have ever been to Paws In The Park but it is an excellent day out and would be great for fundraising.

This year there are 2 events first on 20th & 21st June in Hampshire and again in September in Kent.

I'm not sure of the process to get a stand, would have to look into it. It was absolutely packed last year, stands included, Doglost, Alfies an many more.

Please leave comments on what you think, would be great fun!!!
Tina D

I was talking to Sharon about this a while ago. I took Lucie (my dog!) to this last year and it was fab. I am happy to "man" a stall if there are others to help? My complete lack of geography means that i don't know how far away hampshire is  Embarassed  but i will investigate and the Kent one is not too bad (about an hour and a half from me)
Tina D

I have just had a look at the website and the Hampshire one is a bit far for me (but might be ok for those of you West of London) I can do the Kent one (with help) It is fairly expensive though (a stall inside is £75 and outside is £135 both plus VAT) but there were LOADS of people last year, so might raise the profile quite a bit, not to mention bring in much needed funds!!

The Hampshire one is 20-21st June and the Kent one is 12-13 September
Rhea

HI All,

I would love to help out on the Kent Paws in the Park, I live about 40mins away from the Hop Farm.

Rhea,

x
stolenstaffys

I'd be happy to come help at both, Hampshire from Essex is about similar distance as the Kent one there's not much in it (so long as M25 is okay). Who does the decision lay with if this gets the go ahead or not? And would we be doing both days or just the one? There 10% discount if you book both days. Was really packed last year and i'm certain it will be again.

Please get in touch with an update as i'm sure the stands will sell out quite quickly. I am happy to drive if anyone from the Essex/East London area would like to travel up with me.
Sharonr - Admin

Apologies, but I will not be around for the September dates and the Hampshire event is quite a distance for me (Essex)  Crying or Very sad

But before we consider booking let's see if we can get some teams together to cover them.  So far we have:

20th & 21st June - Hampshire
Halina (stolenstaffys)

12th -13th September - Kent
Tina D
Halina (stolenstaffys)
Rhea

Is there anyone else available to give a hand?
Tina D

I didn't realise that the price was for both days, so £135 isn't too bad really. Would you like me to book the Kent one?? I was thinking that we could maybe just do info/leaflets and collecting rather than too much bric a brac? Or maybe just pick out the "good" stuff I can make some more biscuits too, there are a lot of dogs there (obviously!) so they might sell quite well??

If we get a 3mx3m stall, table and two chairs it is £150+VAT (but i can pay for it) I think that would probably be big anough-what do you all think??
stolenstaffys

That sounds good let me know when it's confirmed il make sure i don't book nothing else for that day. Is it an outdoor stand we are getting? Hopefully the weathers good it was a really sunny day last year.

Keep me updated, you can call me on [TELEPHONE NUMBER REMOVED - please pm Smile ] if you need to go through anything.
Sharonr - Admin

Fantastic news ... Tina D has very kindly offered to fund the booking fee for Rescue Remedies for the Paws in the Park fundraiser event in Kent on the 12th & 13th September! She will be booking it over the course of the next few days and welcomes the offer of support from Rhea & Halina.

She would be grateful for any other offers of assistance so please let us/her know if you are able to help.
Tina D

All booked!! We have an outside stall (thought that might be better for both people passing and if we had any of our dogs attend). Have also got a table and two chairs from them rather than try and scrounge one.

It is Saturday and Sunday so if people could say which days they can help out, that would be fab  Very Happy
Rhea

Great news!!! I'm happy to do both if i'm needed!!!! :-)
Tina D

Yay!! Thanks Rhea!! I figure that if we get a few people for each day we will have cover for wee breaks and the like.  Very Happy
stolenstaffys

Hi Tina

I too can do both days too if required. Fingers crossed the weathers good!

Stolenstaffys
Ruthi

Bracknell council does its own Paws in the Park and we had a stand there last year. Rescue Remedies is welcome to share our space. It didn't cost us much anyway, I seem to remember. Leaflets cost more than the stand.

Some time in July, I think. A couple of weeks before the big thing at Windsor.
Tina D

Thanks Halina (stolenstaffies) I am praying for good weather too!! I do have a gazebo that i can bring if the weather is foul (might bring it anyway if it is sunny as it might get too hot otherwise) but there will be more people if the weather is good

Ruthi: I can't find anything on this year's event (they have something about last years) I have emailed them but if you have any info, could you let me have it, please??

xx
Tina D

I have just had an email from one of the Bracknell Rangers and their Paws in the Park is not going ahead this year due to staff shortages  Sad

I know this seems an age away, but I think it is worth thinking about whether you want to take some of the 'stuff' I have hoarded in my boiler room. There is a mixture of good, bad and ugly Exclamation

If you want to let me know if you do want anything, we can start to make a transport plan.
Tina D

I think we need to decide what we are taking to each event. At most of them we only have one table (like at chelsea) and i think we need to have more of a "plan of action" so that our table is not cluttered with everything and nothing. So at one we could take mostly dog stuff, at another mostly household stuff, at another mostly kids stuff.

Maybe we would also do well at car boot sales with the household stuff as there people will be shopping for that sort of thing

What do you think???
karen

I think a plan is a good idea. We really need input from anyone who has been to an event to know what would do well. We also need a plan to get the stuff to where it is needed.

I think this and the Chelmsford Dog Show are the only things on at the moment, in terms of selling stuff. Is that right?

I will keep all the Christmas things for Kennsington, if you all agree.

I think you are right about car boot sales - a lot of what I have here is perfect for that. My problem is being time poor at the weekends. Sad
Tina D

At the moment, it is just this and the Chelmsford one, yes. There should be a "Village Fair" (sounds MUCH grander than it is!) near me on the last June Weekend that we can hopefully sell some bric a brac at but the details have not come out yet. I have had an email to say that All About Dogs will also go ahead this year but don't know when yet.

Al lot of the boot sales that i could find don't start until May, so hopefully soon the season will start and we can do some then.

I suppose in the meantime, it would be helpful if you could sort the stuff into categories (i don't know if that was done when it was packed away) so that it is organised when we do come to do a boot sale/fair??
karen

Right then - that's me occuppied until the end of the year then  Shocked

I think we were pretty organized when we packed away so I should be able to get a fair idea. Wink
Tina D

I like to keep you busy!!  Laughing  Laughing

I wasn't really part of the packing up process (i think i was in the kitchen with Judith's girl) so i wasn't sure how organised it all was  Very Happy

stolenstaffys

hiya

sorry have been off line for a little while problems with my net.

just to give you some idea of the stalls at paws in the park last year, pretty much everything except the bar was dog related, there were people there who could do microchipping and people selling anything animal related!

I'm not sure how much stuff you have to bring with you but i had an idea that could be good if we need more doggy bits to sell, if between now and then we keep a regular eye on things like gumtree freebies section etc and pick up any extra bits that could sell well, wouldn't cost us anything to get as it'd be free would probably just have to go and collect the items (i don't mind driving if somethings a reasonable distance from me). Then we'd have some more bits to sell. They often have good things on there like cages, leads, dog clothes etc.

Just an idea, let me know.

Can't wait to go seems so far away!
karen

That is certainly a good idea. Its also worth everybody keeping an eye on local freecycle sites and local dumps. Our dump often has very good dog beds that you can pick up for a song.

We do have some 'doggie stuff' but we will take it to the BOSC Fun dog show and hopefully sell some there, so we will probably need to replenish.

Just a thought but if there are a lot of people all selling the same sort of thing, should we try and think of something slightly different as well, like maybe photo frames? Perhaps we could all put our thinking caps on?
TheBeavisFamily

So is this booked?

Do we have this booked? Hampshire one 20-21st June and the Kent one 12-13 September?
Can someone give me details of venues etc so I can post outthe event details

Thanks
Tina D

As far as i can remember, no one said they could definitely do the Hampshire one so that hasn't been booked (i haven't checked the rest of the thread but i am sure someone said that they might be able to do it).

The Kent one in September is definitely happening and i have booked a stall for both days. It is at Hopps Farm in Kent and here is the website:

http://pawsinthepark.net/
Sharonr - Admin

Yes Tina, you are right.  We didn't get any volunteers to commit to the Hampshire one and as booking is quite expensive we decided just to cover the Kent Event.
Bud

just to let you know i can do Sunday to help but cant do Saturday...Sorry i will be working that day! if i can get someone to swap i will.
Tina D

Yay!!! at least i have confirmed help for one day!!!! I was getting a bit woried about being able to go for toilet breaks!!  Laughing  Laughing
Bud

Reah and Stollenstaffy were up for it? I am sure i saw that they wanted to help so we should be good...mind you if we all turn up Sunday and not Saturday then your stuffed..........legs crossed!!!
Tina D

Fingers crossed they are still up for it. I was going to confirm with people closer to the time. You are committed now cos i have your number and will stalk you with phone calls at 3am or send "the boys" round!!!  Laughing  glasses5
Bud

LOL..............im sooo lucky to have youas a friend Rolling Eyes
Rhea

Hi All,

Don't worry i will be there to help on both days!!!! I've been trying to think of some ways i can help raise cash on the day.......but i'm not creative!  Rolling Eyes I might try my hand at baking some doggie treats etc..... any ideas???

Rhea

xx
Tina D

Yay! Thanks Rhea!

I have put up the recipe (of sorts) of the dog  biscuits on "Fundraising" if you want to have a go?

Another thing that we have been doing that has been going down well are bags for the children. In the same bags that i use for the dog biscuits i put a party toy (the kind you  get from the supermarket for party bags) a couple of different sweets (not chocolate cos it melts!) and a lolly or something. We tie it up with curling ribbon and off we go!!!
stolenstaffys

Hi Tina

I will defo help out on Saturday and Sunday is a maybe depending on if i find a dogsitter for my lil ones!

I was thinking a raffle would be a good idea if we can find a cheap/FREE prize maybe someone might have something nice they wouldn't mind donating?  Then any tickets sold would be 100% profit for rescue remedies?

Again I am not very creative either :-s
Sharonr - Admin

Bud (Nicci) has very kindly arranged a donation from Kimberly-Clark of 48 Hero puppies (Andrex puppies) soft toys - they are 7inches tall and sitting about 3 and half inches from bum to tum, but 6 inches from bum to front paw.  I believe Stevie's family are considering making 48 RR logo applied ponchos for them  Wink

Hopefully they will sell well and give us some much needed funding from one dog to another Wink
stolenstaffys

Hiya

How about we make some RR keyrings with the logo on? You can order blank keyrings from ebay for about £20 for 100 we could sell them for £1 each making £80 after taking off the cost of them? Just requires someones time to print off and put the logos in.

Plus a raffel always works well, i'm sure I have a big teddy lying around in good condition.

Hi Sharon

Have sent you about 10 emails tonight sorry everytime i send one i remember something else...lol

100 blank keyrings ordered for £9.99 and £5.00 p&p so not bad i dont think  Wink

once you get back to my emails I will start printing the logos etc off.

will keep me busy and out of mischief for a little while!
Sharonr - Admin

Well done ... have sent you some back  Laughing
stolenstaffys

I spent all Saturday night making the keyrings but you'll be glad to know they are all done! Nothing flashy but should sell hopefully! Will bully some people at work to buy some before the event! lol

I also have found one of my teddys to give in the raffel! His a labradore (looks like a real dog!) and is in really good condition, i'm getting my sister (the artist of the family) to do a WIN ME poster for him.  Does anyone have a raffel book from previous events that we could use?

Any more ideas??? We only have a few weeks now!
Tina D

Fantastic work Halina!! Thanks! I will definitely buy at least one  Very Happy

How big is the lab?? I will be putting together a hamper as a prize for our "guess the dog's name" competition. We will be running another one at Paws (similar to the one on the forum) and asking people to name the lifesize dog (in reality, someone in a dog costume that Bud/Nicky has kindly aquired for us to use).

Halina and Rhea: are you still willing to come and help out? Do you know which day(s??) you will be coming and what times?? Is there anyone else that can help? Especially anyone who is 5ft 7 or over that can wear our dog costume for a bit??  Very Happy  This is a MASSIVE event so we would really appreciate all the help we can get. Not to mention the fact that it is a fantastic event for any dog lover with shopping opportunities galore!!  Very Happy  Very Happy

I have an unopened Twister chase road racing set (a bit like scalextric) which was an unwanted christmas present for my son that can be used in the raffle if wanted. At the mo I am trying to talk my 16 yr old son into wearing the dog costume for a bit, he did ask - are you serious? (with a smile on his face). So will let you know if I persuade him!

Hi All,

I will still be able to help out..... I will be able to do both days!!! Just need to double check the times, i will confirm as soon as i can!!

I'm probably going to regret this!!!.... i am just over 5ft 7 and will be happy to be dog for a little while!!.... as long as there is a bottle of water (or glass of wine lol) to hand in case i boil over!!! lol.

My Parents are in manchester at the moment and apparently there is a excellent £ shop which has great Dog toys, accessories etc... My mum is raiding it as we speak so there should be plenty for the weekend!!!

Hope ok??

Rhea. xx
Tina D

The general opening times are 10am-6pm. I will be getting there about 7:30 ish ( Shocked ) and should be ok setting up (with Nicky's help!!) but would appreciate the help when the people are let in (there might be a stampede when they find out how good my liver cake is   Laughing  )

Susi226 and Rhea: Dog stuff is always welcome!! We always need it for the dog tombola (which seems to be the most popular tombola!)

I will be able to come and help on the Sunday, can't do the Saturday I'm afraid because my husband works Saturdays so he will have the car. I have also made 43 80g bags of Liver Cake today. Not sure it will be anywhere near as good as Tina's, it is all in my freezer now, just need to buy some bags as they are in sandwich bags at the mo. Still working on my son, he takes time to realise that its a good idea! If I get time I will try and make some bone shaped chicken flavoured buscuits as I have ordered some bone shape buscuit cutters.

Hi All,

I am really sorry but i am only going to be able to Sunday now!!! My other half only told me lastnight that he is playing football near Southampton so he will be out from early Hours till the beer runs out!!! I really don't want to let you all down but i really can't leave Bruce all day on his own!!!  Crying or Very sad

I will definately be there on Sunday, and i'll even try and drag a very hungover  Rolling Eyes other half with me and Bruce.

No problem Rhea, we apreciate you even coming on the Sunday, especially now you know how tiring it is, we should have kept that a secret from you until after Paws!!!!

If you wanted to blackmail your other half, as Bud says, you could guilt him into wearing the dog costume, even for a little while!!??  ...Then you won't have to wear it for as long!!!Very Happy  Very Happy

There must be someone out there who would like to fool around without anyone knowing who they are - you can have so much fun, particularly with the kids?!!
Paul&Annie

Hi! Paul, Moss and I will be coming along to Paws on Sunday morning.  We have to be somewhere in the afternoon and we would like a chance to look around the show, but if we can make some time I can lend a hand on the stall for a bit.  I'm pretty hopeless, but if you are desperate......

We will also try to bring along a carrier bag of dog and kids stuff for the tombola.  We wont be able to get it to you before Sunday. It wont be a huge amount but it may help as hopefully you will have loads of customers!

See you Sunday.

PAWS IN THE PARK - PROBLEM!

I have a small problem - Sharon has contacted me to ask for a portrait voucher for your event - she has asked me to reply to Tina and gave me her e mil address. However - this e mail has been returned to me as undeliverable!

I am not able to contact her Confused

Any ideas??
Paul&Annie

To Bonesey,

I went up to the top of the page to the members list and sent a message to Tina D as I think that is who you need to speak to about the voucher.  I have pointed out that you are trying to get in touch.

If you go to the top of the page to the members list and click on that you will go into a list of names see the p m icon by each of them, if you click on there I think that your message should get through.

I hope that helps.  I may be completely wrong, IT is not my thing.

Annie
Tina D

Thanks Annie for pointing Sam in the right direction!

I do still have a couple of ball throwers from what you gave me at the weekend and i think i will be alright for stuff until Sunday. You can come and work on the stall for a bit and i can run away with Moss Wink  Laughing
Tina D

Sorry!!  Embarassed  I meant to also say that it is very kind of you to bring us anything and we really do appreciate it!!!!  Embarassed
Paul&Annie

Tina, if you have any energy to run anywhere by the second day of Paws in the Park then I will be amazed!  I don't know how you guys manage it, you are like Duracel bunnies with endless energy!

I'll have to watch out, I don't think Moss would need much convincing to run away with you and Lucie.
Rhea

Hi All,

I am so sorry... i am only going to be able to do Sunday morning! Dee has asked me to do a Home check and Sunday afternoon is the only day they can do. I will do the first Dog suit session to make up for it! What time do you want me there? How will i get in if it is pre opening time?? As i will need to get out just after lunch i will probably best park in the main car park rather than with the stall organisers!

Regards

Rhea.

Thank you Jo and Rhea!!!!! Sorry i haven''t been on for a couple of days, Friday was a bit manic baking dog biscuits!!!!

Rhea, it opens at 10, if you get there before, just give me a call and i will come and let you in with one of our passes.

Ok then, Day one: OMG!!!! I am soooooooo tired!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (this may be a short one cos i need to go to bed in a mo ready for tomorrow!!!) What a good day though!!!! It was just Mum, Nicky and myself on the stall for most of the day (along with Lucie of course!!!) We were joined in the morning by Nicky's friend Russ who did a FANTASTIC job in the dog costume!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was sooo funny and was waving to kids and hugging/high fiving them!! He even got his photo taken by the Press!!! We owe him a million thanks as he really got us noticed and sold a lot of "Guess the Name" tickets!!! (he is a lovely man too!!!)

Other highlights: Susi226 dropped off two lovely bags of dog tombola which are now ticketed and ready to go!! Melvin brought his family along to say hello. STolen Staffies stopped by to give us the lovely keyrings she had made (they are fab and only £1 each, come on people, who wants one!!??) and gave us a poster which we put up on the stall. a kind lady gave us a bag of change and then came back later with another that she had forgotten about!! A lovely lady called Sue came by near the end of the day to say that she knows of us and looks at our website and gave us £10!!! While i was chatting to her about what a dire situation it is at the mo for rescue dogs, she gave us another one!!!! Her generosity made me cry and i would like to say a hearty Thank You if she is on the forum (Sue, if you are, stop lurking and join the forum properly so we can chat to you!!!).

If anyone wants to come and see us tomorrow (and i would HIGHLY recommend it, it is a FANTASTIC event!!!) We are by Arena one, opposite the big, white, multi-stall tent (you can't miss us, we are a tiny blue gazebo near the corner!!!

We had a quick count up but i don't suppose anyone is interested in what we made...??

What's that?! You really want to know????

Really, really???

Alright then, we raised.....

....

....

£330!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not bad for a day's work, eh?????!!!!!!!!!!!

Fingers crossed, i will make it through tomorrow and will be able to let you know what happened!!!!!!!!!! xx

Sharon, i am sure we will all still be aching when you get home next week so you might want to retract your offer as i will otherwise take you up on it!!!!!  Laughing

Day Two: Wow!!!!!! we thought we hurt yesterday but it is NOTHING compared to how much we hurt today!!!!! i don't think i have a single part of me that does not hurt!!!! What a busy day!!!! I can't remember most of it so i will try and recap but i might have to add bits tomorrow when (hopefully!) my brain function returns!!!!

There were a lot more people around today and they seemed happy to have the free samples of liver cake and biscuits but not as quick to actually buy some, even when their dogs were sitting in front of us refusing to move because they liked it so much!!!!

Rhea did the first turn in the dog suit as promised and did a wonderful job!!!! She stayed in it for HOURS and was dancing and meeting people and dogs. We were visited by Paul and Annie and MOSS!!!  Very Happy  and Josta and her two children and Cooper came by to help in the late morning/afternoon. Josie (Josta's daughter) wore the dog suit in the afternoon and did a fantastic job and led to our new catchphrase "Hug a Puppy"!!   Very Happy and Josta and Christian (her son) were top salespeople of liver cake and brought floods of people to the stall, requesting the treat that their dog loved so much!!!!

Both Paul and Annie and Josta brought us loads of stuff which we desparately needed and will help restock our tombola for our next event. A fair few people said that they remembered us from previous events and the lady from Pro Dogs Direct (who had the stall next to us last week) stopped by with her four dogs who seemed to remember me! (some people have said that it is the liver cake that they remember but i think it was my winning personality!!) A lady from Dogpages also stopped by but i didn't have much time to stop and chat, unfortunately  Sad

The lady on the stall next to us (who had a GORGEOUS little jrt called Molly- i tried to smuggle her away but they noticed  Sad  Laughing ) remarked how lovely our stall sounded with all the laughing and singing that was filtering through to her stall  Very Happy

I would like to say a proud mummy note about Lucie too, she was on our stall for two days and was the only "stall dog" that i could see who was not on a lead/teathered in some way! she is such a good girl and behaved herself beautifuly!!!!!

Anyway, boastful moment over,i expect that you would like to know how we did???....

ready???....

Drumroll please!!!!!....

Today we made...

£431.40!!!!!!!!!!  That makes a weekend total of £764.44!!!!! ( i am hoping that my maths is right!!).Add that to the money that Karen raised today and we raised just under £1000!!!!!

Well done and Thank You to everyone who helped out or stopped by or brought us stuff for the stall!!!!!!!

TinaD & gang - what can I say, you must be so chuffed at such a sterling effort and whilst tired, must be very satisfied as the phenomenal amount of money you raised which will make so much difference to our rescue dogs.

It is hard work, but we do have alot of fun doing these events and I'm sorry that I couldn't be with you, I feel like I have missed out, but am extremely proud of you all.

Hope the tired bits recover quickly, but the offer of foot massage still stands when I return!  Well done all.  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

Blimey!   And I mean blimey!  How much?!

What a fantastic result and well done to you all.

We stopped by at Paws and I know what your neighbour meant, yours has got to be the most fun stall.  Nobody there could top the dancing dog, that was a stroke of genius!  What a great job all the dog suit wearers did.

Lucie and Cooper were great ambassadors for RR.  Lucie is always pretty in pink and takes all these events in her stride.  Cooper is a handsome chap and one of natures gentlemen I suspect.  Even though Moss has had a bath Cooper decided he needed a tidy up and washed his ears for him.  Awwww, what a sweetie!

I do like the keyrings that you were selling, they have come in handy already.

A huge well done to everybody!

Yes we owe a big 'thank you' to Stolenstaffys (Helina) for those.  She very kindly sourced them, filled them and delivered them to PAWS.  Her efforts on our behalf were much appreciated  Very Happy

I need to say that without TinaD “PAWS” would not have been the success it was.....do you know that she was disappointed that we didn’t raise more, she felt she had not been successful....she works all hours god sends baking, wrapping, packing, printing, organising..........Me, I turned up with a bunch of sandwiches and a pack of sausage rolls and spent my time dancing with a puppy and kissing every staffie I could get my hands on,....and even though I can hardly keep eyes open today and could not get shoes on as my feet are so sore... I had one of the best weekends this year! I spent a weekend with friends and addition to that we raised money for a good cause.... I am truly glad I am part of this “Family”....Thank you Tina for dressing me up in silly ears, abusing me and making me dance, sing and shout in front of complete strangers to get them to part with that pound coin....all 764 of them!!

P.S. I am on vacation next year don’t know when Paws is but you can guarantee that I will be on VACATION!!!!!
josta

Tina and the gang were truly amazing!!!!! Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy  It was a great pleasure coming along to help, Cooper was absolutely exhausted when we got home and sleep all evening. The only time he got up was when the copius amounts of Liver cake can back on him and he made a quick exit to the garden! Then promply back to sleep, I think like me he is still recovering.

And we only did one day, I take my hat off to Tina, Tina's mum and Nikki who managed both days with such enthusiasm WELL DONE!!!!!!!!! You are  angel13 's wav

Hello and well done everyone! How much did the "Guess the name" Competition raise..... and who has won it??
Tina D

You lot had better stop with all of the praises!  Embarassed  Embarassed

I am very happy to be part of the RR family too and although it is very hard work, we all do have fun on the stalls andni have made some lovely friends doing it. Like Bud/Nicky said, i was very disappointed in the amount that we raised-not the efforts of everyone concerned, we couldn't have done any more, but the fact that people were unwilling to part with their cash for a worthy cause but will happily spend hundreds on needless things. I have to say, too that we all WORKED for every penny that came in. We had 4 chairs available to us and none of them were used!! We were also one of the last stalls to pack up and were horse from shouting our wares.

I don't know how much was raised in the Guess the name competition, i haven't unpacked the board from my car yet  Embarassed I have had a busy (and completely rubbish!!) few days at work though  Confused I know that a lot of people took leaflets for the portraits and seemed really interested though. I know that we have some names left so if anyone on here wants to buy a name, i will post them and then draw the name. It is the same prize as before (thanks to Sam's fantastic generosity!!), a FANTASTIC portrait of your dog!!

I am trying to load the photos but it is my usual knightmare, my work computer likes my camera but keeps crashing when i try to load them onto Photobucket and my home computer loves Photobucket but hates my camera and won't load anything from it.

Grrrrr, technology!!!  Evil or Very Mad  Evil or Very Mad  Evil or Very Mad

Laughing Fab photos - the RR Dog is brilliant Exclamation I really have the greatest admiration for everybody who wore it - it takes guts and such good people skills to get it right, and by the sounds of things it worked so well Laughing

headbang Deep Respect  headbang

TinaD, how can you be dissappointed Shocked Times are tough at the moment and the amount you raised was way beyond what I though you would be able to, so no more 'down', please, just a big smiley face Exclamation
