Homed

Referral Details: This little puppy is being paraded over free ads and facebook. She needs to come into foster and safety. We have asked the contact to find out and assure we will take and make her safe. We ideally need a foster with at least one other dog to support her hearing loss.

Claireg is delivering Snowdrop to Mandy on Thursday evening

She is a little cutie . Trying to photograph her was tricky as she just wants to run to you if she sees the camera  Rolling Eyes

I am sure Lynne will be along with better photos later! she was great in the car after an initial bark, she just settled down for a nap.

..... now safely delivered to loving foster mum's arms

Snowdrop is a lovely pup, when she arrived she was very stressed for the first few days but has settled nicely, she does all her toilets outside (really) and has been clean in the house.

She is happy, friendly, wiggly and nosey, she is a breath of fresh air, so far she has learnt 2 signs, first one was NO  Shocked  and also good girl, which is thumbs up.  I will write them down as I teach her.

Last Saturday I took her to my local pet shop which had a natural dog food tasting day, she had a ball and was very popular, she took a shine to Diesel a MastiffxRottie.

When we got home she was pooped and went out like a light!!

Wondering if there is room for the last piece of doggy blueberry muffin

Snowdrop has been with me just over a week now and she has really settled into our routine, she knows that after their dinner they get a bonio in their crate.  So she eats her dinner then runs into her crate waiting.

I also work full time coming home at lunch to walk them all and she has learnt that as well, she may be deaf but she is certainly not stupid and picks things up really quickly.

Here she is with the big guns, excuse the first pic didn't realize my shadow was there.

Girl cant even have a pee in peace

When I offered to foster Snowdrop, I was a bit concerned over the fact she was deaf, as never had any dealings with deaf dogs. I didn't need to worry she is no different to a hearing dog, infact she is a model puppy  :D

Salient points......

Clean in the house

Has not chewed anything, prefering her nylabone & stag bar

Sleeps right through at night time

Meets dogs respectfully, no puppy leaping biting.

Learns quickly

Can be left for a while with no noise etc (checked with neighbours)

No mouthing!

She is a pleasure to have around and such fun, she could easily live with another dog as she is so respectful, she follows Monty around, just watching him and does not jump all over him.

So please dont let the fact that she is deaf put you off, it doesn't stop her at all.

Snowdrop is doing fine, going from strength to strength, her favorite pastime is trying to get Monty or Blaze to play with her, she is definitely bringing the puppy out in Monty.

This morning was hysterical, as she managed to get hold of a big ball of wool, which I was using and I ended up chasing her round the garden, cracking up as she wrapped it round my willow tree, hooked it on my rose bush, then back in the house, there was purple wool everywhere.

She is a breath of fresh air, so friendly to everyone and great with other dogs, she now keeps looking at me when we are walking just to check where we are going !!

Still clean in the house and still sleeps right through the night, she loves kids and they love her, she is a child magnet, even though I don't do children  La La La

I always hear people say "you cant get puppies in rescues" oh yes you can and a lot of the hard work is already done!!

She is going to be a stunning staffy girl when she has grown, she is a very cute pup now  Wink

This is a link to the signing training I am doing, so if you are interested in her , you can easily follow it.
