Homing Requirements Marvel needs the right family around him to develop his skills further and to shine. Could live with a settled second dog but probably would take experience to settle him with a livier dog. Hence within 40 mile radius of London with willingness ref transport if trying to settle as second dog. Secure garden and inclusive family. Good with dog friendly cats; poss caged small furries.

His Story: Marvel was found stray in a poor condition. We agreed to take him on from a desperate dog warden who had no other options to offer. He came in a worried frightened boy but soon trusted and is looking forward to meeting a new family. Marvel is now neutered, chipped and vax'd. Fostered in Robertsbridge East Sussex

Video: Mr Marvelous running for joy in the paddock

Advert: Mr Marvelous is an outstanding Staffie who needs a family with faith in him and the skills to offer him so he can settle and delight. Marvel is relaxing around dogs, is fostered with a calm 'other' and is social in his outlook but needs reassurance and guidance toward 'all singing all dancing'. We always advise Staffies to be on leads, as the public are quick to blame even if they didn’t start anything; so with this proviso Marvel should be easy to manage outside. Marvel needs a good quality diet to bring the shine on his coat and necessary weight gain.

Marvel is a black brindle who is around 4 years old. He is a slightly larger sized Staffie with a longer body and the beautiful Staffie head: Twinkling eyes shining forth with a sparkle when given the opportunity to have fun. Marvel is ready entertain no doubt ... he is ready to embrace the good life ... are you able to offer Mr Marvelous this and move him on from his current sad note?

Referral Details: Hi Lynne and Dee, we have picked up another Staffie, very unlikely to be claimed. He is entire. very friendly, seems good with other dogs. black and white. Not sure of age but youngish. Just wondered if there was any chance i could bring him up next week? poss take to teddington?

kind regards  Emily Dog Warden

Marvel is booked into our vet in Teddington tomorrow for neutering and will flow through into our kennels.

I met Marvel today and was really impressed. He is very calm/relaxed and he patiently waited with Anne while I took his pictures.  For me he is that real Teddy Bear Staffie - hard to keep from wrapping your arms around him ...  i love you2

Blowin kisses right back at you Marvel ...  love1

I walked this cuddle monster yesterday. He really does like his cuddles. He puts on his own harness and although he is strong, its not a problem as he is good on the lead and just calmy gets on with his walk, tail wagging, taking in all the sights, sounds and smells.
Just gorgeous!

The description of Marvel being a big Teddy Bear fits him perfectly. He is very huggable and gives you those pleading eyes which melt your heart. He is also a right little character, so easy to harness and when walking he makes the cutest sounds. Not your normal staffy snuffle, more of a chuckle  laughing6

He is very adorable - and has a 'special feel' to him  love9

I had the privilege of having my first walk with the marvel-lous Marvel today. Wow, what a handsome boy. He has an unusual colouring, almost black on top then blends into a beautiful brindle. He has the most lovely ears that flop at the top and he was a delight to walk. He enjoyed the sunshine on his back and loved sploshing in the puddles. He had a good chat initially and then settled into the more interesting business of exploring with his nose and enjoying his walk. He is a smashing little lad and I do hope he finds his foster or forever home soon. Pic to follow x

Walked the lovely Marvel on Saturday and what a good boy he was :D

A really easy boy to handle in the kennels, he understandably got a bit wound up in the walkway, but once we got out into the field he was a star Smile

We had a nice walk into the village with Nina, Helen & Liz with their dogs - the nice thing about walking into the village is that the dogs are getting out into a normal environment where we meet people and just everyday things which is so important, and they do all seem to like to have a change of scenery.  We've found a nice river on the green so they are able to have a drink and a cool down which they love :D

Marvel had a lovely walk today and enjoyed the puddles that he could find. He has the most gorgeous velvety face and is definately a snuggly cuddle monster. He is a gorgeous little lad and I do hope he finds a warm home and sofa to snuggle on soon. x

Marvel had a great time in the paddock yesterday running his socks off. Our dogs don't get paddock time sadly so this was a first event for him and he spent most of the time stetching his legs and opening his mind to the freedom of it all.

What a wonderful dog. Easy on the lead, well behaved, so, so affectionate and so tuned into people.
He is just so wonderful to cuddle he should be prescribed on the NHS!

This is his 'I love my back scratched' face

and this is his 'please scratch my back some more' face

oooooo that is so nice!

Took the lovely Marvel out for a stroll yesterday. He was much bigger than he looked in the kennels, strong on the lead at first and then soon settled down to enjoy his walk.  His tail caught me twice on my leg with his wagging and it felt as though someone had hit me with a stick so I presume he was enjoying himself. Very handsome boy Smile

Marvel had a lovely walk in the sunshine today. He was very calm and just took his time enjoying himself. We met Betsy out on her walk in the village - Marvel said hello fom a distance.  Smile
We stopped for cuddles in the field but I failed to get a good photo as he was up too close getting all the attention and hugs he could. He is such a wonderful boy. Heartfill

Marvellous Marvel was such an easy dog to walk today...relaxing perfect. He will sit to command on the  3rd call on seeing a dog, bless him such is his enthusiasm. He is keen to meet other dogs but on 3 occassions he was nose to nose and well received by a Pointer; a Retriever and a poodle.

Marvel was hot and panty yesterday, so literally launched himself into the pond to cool down. He is a big bear of a Staffie boy, waiting for his home.
