Homing Requirements:Chico and Mia have lived together for four and a half years since Mia joined him as a pup. They are harmonious and would love to stay together. A ready made family but owners should have the means to financially afford 2 dogs reference insurance and welfare. They require a garden to enjoy. Mia will be spayed by Rescue Remedies in March.
His Story: Chico came out of Battersea as an 18 month old young man! He was joined when he was 3-4 years old by Mia who was at the time an 8 week old pup. They have always been a harmonious couple. Their owners have not been able to find a rented property that will accept them in a forced move. We are taking them both in on the 3rd February and the will waiting in boarding kennels until their home is found.
Advert: Chico is affectionately known as Cheeky ... we wonder why! He is extremely loving and an easy going gentleman who still loves to play ball over at the park and loves dogs and people alike but especially children. He is the first to greet you on arriving home. Mia shares his life and they are together when the folks are at work. They are settled and extremely easy to manage.
Chico has a wonderful golden brindle coat. He is a slightly longer legged Staffie but is towered over by Mia his partner. Chico loves his special treat of 'Rich Tea' biscuits. Cheerful Chico. Mia is calm and affectionate too. A ready made family like these rarely are seen in rescue ... take advantage!

Has a great personality, has some funny ways, loves a biscuit, and going to the park - we also call him "Cheeks" for short.
Both dogs are house trained and know the words Toilet, Bed, Dinner, No, and Naughty! _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!
Chico has arrived in Gatwick (S) with his partner Mia. They are sharing a kennel. _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!
Chico is a lovely friendly little Staffie. He is a little nervous but I took him for a short walk around the field while Chinquest made friends with Mia.
He did all his toileting and skipped for joy at being out. Loves his cuddles but is calm and gentle and while he makes sure he misses out on nothing if you are cuddling Mia, he very gently lets you know he wants a cuddle too.
Zoe has Mia and Liz has Chico - So I shout here look here and did all the noises - one looked one way and one looked the other !! So funny. Gorgeous Gorgeous dogs, sure their walkers will be along to tell all...

Had the pleasure of walking Chico today and what a lovely calm boy he is. Walked very happily with two other dogs with no interest at all in them. Very quiet boy - even his bark is quiet - who definitely deserves better than a cold damp kennel at his age and I am sure will bring a lot of pleasure into someone's life, hopefully soon
Chico was very, very excited today. As his partner Mia is away recuperating he is also being given a few days away from kennels. Anna and Marius arrived this morning to whisk him off for a couple of days TLC. When I spoke to Anna this afternoon, Chico had made himself very much at home, had said hello to the guinea pigs (without a second look) and settled down on the couch with the nearest person to tickle him whilst he snoozed and snuffled the day away. A happy boy by all accounts The picture shows him ready and waiting to drive off
Well Chico's 'few days' in foster have been extended - he has been such a good boy, Anna and the family couldn't bear to see him back in kennels so have been rearranging things so he can stay with them until his forever home comes along
When I spoke to Anna there was one word that kept coming up 'happy, happy, happy, boy
He is just loving life and is a joy to have around, not at all worried about the small furries, fabulous with Anna's daughter and just so loving to everyone he meets. He has been bought lots of toys and Anna said it is a joy to watch him with them. Hopefully we may even see some video evidence soon
He is also a really fast learner and understands very quickly what is expected of him.
After the first few days there was only one downside to Chico, his wind However, a sustained period of time on good quality food and even this has improved
Chico was reunited with his companion, Mia, last night after a separation of nearly a month, thanks to the goodness of Anna who kindly offered to foster both dogs. Anna is an experienced dog owner who used to show her champion Bull Dog before coming to the UK...so the lucky pair can look forward to a really happy time together. With much appreciation to Anna, her husband and daughter for giving the close friends an opportunity to demonstrate their gentle and loving ways.
Anna has sent me some stunning photos of Chico and Mia, back together after a month's separation and, so obviously pleased to be reunited. Anna and her family are so kind to offer them their special time of readjustment....but you'll have to wait for the photos.....Margaret is giving me instructions of how to post them....and there's a video, too!!
