Please can any provisional enquirers not comment/post on a dog's thread that they are interested in the dog. Otherwise the thread then becomes cluttered and others who have completed our questionnaire feel sidetracked and concerned they haven't heard from us. It may also be that that particular dog may not be suitable, but any post on the thread expressing interest would then put other potential owners off applying. Our dogs best interests must always come first and foremost so we appreciate your understanding.
Each dogs thread must represent a log of their development through our rescue and display their temperament and state of wellbeing for all interested people. Dogs are clearly moved to reserved or homed once we have committed a dog provisionally to an interested party.
Casual dog enquiriers will be removed off the dogs thread for the above reasons. We are sorry if we inadvertently offend, we don't mean to.
We ask all applicants to please complete a Homing Questionnaire as their first move and have patience.
An email reminder to us is acceptable if we have not responded in a reasonable time. There are very few of us on the ground and we need to prioritise which questionnaires look like the most suitable home first. We are currently receiving 15-20 questionnaires a day.
How We Work
Once you have submitted your Homing Questionnaire you should receive a phone call or an email from us.
If you are suitable for own of our dogs, we will arrange a homecheck. Someone will come to your home and check garden boundaries and talk to you about any issues and answer any questions.
After a successful homecheck you are invited to meet the dog and introduce them to household members (including other animals). However we may homecheck you with the discussed dog with the view to homing if all seems plain sailing. We move very fast..we are often working over days rather than weeks.
When all parties are agreed (and of course you fall in love with a dog!) you can then move forward with the adoption. We require a minimum donation of £150 upon adoption.
