What about trying to get on the Waitrose "Community Matters" scheme?? I don't know if there is a Waitrose branch near you lot (not hailing from West London myself ). They pick three good causes each month and when people buy stuff they get a green token that they can use to "vote" for their favourite cause. The branch splits £1000 per month between the causes and the more "votes" you get, the more money you get.
You can "noninate" a local good cause by filling in one of their leaflets and handing it in. I have picked up a few leaflets which i can send when i send the donated dog coats if you want???

Its a good little thing that - I like chosing where to plop my token when if Im in there.
Even if we dont win (there are some well known orgs often to choose from) it would be great for getting the RR name out there with the Waitrose buying lot. |

hiya
I had some text from Sam B which i can root out tonight as its on my laptop, unless Sam has it to hand> I also added a bit about how RRs dedication and support saved these dogs from being pts and gave them the opportunity and space to blossom and show what good pets they can be given the chance.
Planning to buy a sandwich there every day in January! Also as its central we might be able to convince supporters to do a short detour from Oxford Street sales (nice cafes and resturants in the Brunswick Centre) and drop into waitrose.
Tina D - great idea to pass my your spare green tokens shall I PM you my addresss. |

here's the text for the form
Rescue Remedies Dog Rescue
This is a small, Internet based local group, that rehomes dogs in London and the Counties.
The organisation receives no grants, and all administration is voluntary.
The organisers and foster carers take rescue dogs into their homes at their own cost and then tremendous effort is put into rehoming them.
All prospective adopters are screened and contact is maintained - the only payment involved is to cover the necessary medical bills, injections and the neutering/spaying of the dogs.
Any money donated will be well spent and go towards helping many dogs in distress.
Contact details can be found at www.rescueremedies.co.uk
