Homing Requirements: Ty needs his own family and so offer him and us dream fulfilment. He loves other dogs and although notably excited being in a home for the first 3-4 days does settle and adores the companionship and activities of daily living. Housetraining not a issue with attention. Must be inclusive i.e. on sofas and ideally in the bedroom of night, he has a lot of catching up to do after a lifetime of kennelling. Rocky SR is his partner and make a harmonious pair is you would consider a pair.
His Story: Ty lived outside with Rocky introduced as a pup in 2006. Neighbours complained about the dogs being left in the garden with no supervision whilst the family were at work. The dog warden alerted us and we agreed to take them. Neutered, chipped and vax'd.
Advert: Ty is superb and recently adjusted to living in a multi-dog household for a month over Christmas. He will need to live with another dog. Whilst Ty & Rocky makes an ideal pair, we are now exploring separate homes with at least one other dog. Ty is currently excitable, settling into a home but takes his lead from other doggie friends. Ty is used to being left and isn't destructive. Ty has never been ill treated, is very loving and well mannered with people; a true gentleman.
Just look into his face so lovely, gentle, and so good looking. Ty walks well on the lead, practically to heel. Meeting dogs he needs a little space to say hello. Ty was always an 'on lead' dog. Ty is in excellent health despite his hard life and his older age. Good around children. Travels well in a car. A diamond dog; so happy and so pleased to share company.
If you are interested in re-homing please complete Our on-line Homing Questionnaire so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.
See Ty's thread below: Watch his progress through our Rescue Referral Details: Tyson has always lived outside (family say by choice) He had a shed and run and was joined by Rocky. They are a harmonious pair and we are looking for a home for them together. Yet to meet Tyson.
They come as soon as we have kennel space. _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!
Had a lovely walk with Ty and Rocky today in the snow together.
Ty is a little loose; Rocky has a little cough..but both were up for their walk and very very loving dogs to one another and to me. Put new collars on them and discover Ty needs the snip so will book him in once his tummy has settled! _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!
Rocky and Ty are both kennel bound at the moment however I did stop briefly to look at them. They are really very cute and I hope they get the all clear soon so they can come out to play.
Really quite small as well, I expected them to be a little bigger but they didn't disappoint in being as appealing as I had expected.
Will keep fingers crossed that they are all clear by Friday so I can maybe meet them properly.
Sorry no photo....was getting a little dark indoors yesterday.
Today it was the first time I walked Ty and Rocky together and it went very well. They don't pull at all, and are very happy sticking together. I just had to swap leads from one hand to the other a few times, but never under any pressure from them. A great pair _________________ http://www.juststaffies.org.uk
Ty was neutered and chipped yesterday. Delightful chap, his teeth were excellent and everyone said he can't be 10 years old!
he travelled at the front a little lively even on return journey after the vets. He gave me a few licks loving but not a licky licky Staffie. _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!
Ty had his second vax today so he is now completely 'Kosher' He sang in the car..yes he is nervous but settled. Charmed everyone he met in the vets, with total disbelief over his age _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!
Today was the first time that I've met this lovely pair. They were very well behaved and rubbed along nicely with my dog Kimmie and McQueen. I can't remember which is Ty and which is Rocky though .
Well now, let's just hope I have these two the right way around - this is Ty! It may be easy to get the names around the wrong way and both are so very different in looks, but exactly the same in gorgeous gentle soft temperaments! So chilled and comfortable in each others company - a best of both worlds couple! Let's hope that someone is looking for two companion dogs. They'll be very lucky to have this loving pair ... would love to see one either side of someones fire place...
I was really looking forward to meeting Rocky and Ty when I popped over to Gatwick N for the first time yesterday. They are just an adorable pair. I was lucky enough to take Ty whilst Nina took Rocky and I just loved the way they walk so calmy and contentedly next to each other. What more could anyone ask for?
Before meeting those 2, I would never have thought that walking 2 Staffies X that spend most of their time in a small kennel could be so easy. Today again, they proved me wrong. They just don't pull at all, are happy to walk at your own pace no matter how fast or slow you are and are just a very friendly pair of brothers. _________________ http://www.juststaffies.org.uk
