Just to give a little cheer to all you guys who put so much effort into assesing and rehoming your dogs...

I was talking to a friend of mine about my lovely staffie Jazz who died nearly 4 years ago. she was from staffie rescue and was with me for over 10 years. Absolutely broke my heart when she died, and in typical staffie way, she went down hill really quickly.

Anyway (and here where you get the right sort of "breeding")!. Because of Jazz, and the fact that she always did a superb job of being a rescue ambassador, - we counted back that there are now 7 rescue dogs in homes - purely because people who didn't think they could cope with a dog - found they could, couldnt' cope with the "unknown" quantity of a rescue - found they were charmed.

and without being macarbe, I have promises from 2 friends with elderly dogs - that (without wishing their dogs dead) - they would go to a RESCUE next time and not get a puppy - and a 3rd who is now looking for another staffie to keep his boy company as Blaze has also disproved the theory that staffies automatically have to be kept solo. Some do and some don't!

And a friend, who doesn't share my love of staffies but does love dobermans... so has now joined doberman rescue to help them.

And I keep pointing people towards RR for dogs... fingers crossed!! and keep up the excellent work  Very Happy

What a lovely post - thank you.

We have had 3 homes specifically come up for Staffies after researching on the nternet and using the KC online form that guides you to certain breeds.

I was amazed and such lovely homes, i believe 2 of our gorgeous Staffies warming those beds even as we speak ......  LOL  Laughing
