Hi many of you know I'm Cooper's mum but I thought I'd give you background to how we came with Cooper and introduce the rest of my menagerie.

Before Cooper we found a Dogue De Bordeaux  called Rockford at Mayhew on the internet. We fell in love with him before we went to see him!
When we did see him it was obvious all was not well with him. He dragged his front leg and it would bend over which he would not self right straight away. With my vet nurse background I immediately questioned whether they thought it was a brain tumour.  Mayhew were upfront with us and said worse case senario was a spine/brain tumour. We had a big desision to make, which didn't take long. We wanted his remaining days with us.

Rockford gave us 6 glorious but short weeks before he had to be pts. He made a big impression on all of us and we knew we wanted our next dog to a mastiff or better still a dogue de bordeaux.

Lynne knew we were looking and one night got a phone call from someone looking for a home for a DDB x Staff puppy. She knew exactly where to turn and we couldn't say no  Very Happy .

We picked our fabulous Cooper up who has now completed our family.

Our home also has three cats called Tigger, Daisy and Jaffa. Tigger is now 13 yrs, we got him from PAWS as a kitten. Daisy is 8 yrs but was born in our house when we picked up her ferral mum as a heavliy pregnant foster cat, we fostered for HAWS. And Jaffa turned up on our doorstep one very cold christmas, very skinny, un-neutered, dirty and smelly. He came in for only one (thats what my hubby said) night. we tried to find his home but to no avail so he stayed  Very Happy .

Our last pet is a house rabbit called Cosmo who is now 8 yrs (he was 16 weeks when we got him), he came from a farm we stayed at in Devon. He had a damaged leg from one of the visitors and needed tlc so he came back home with us.

This is Rockford.

Daisy is a shy girl and it seems there are no pics on my computer so I will have to add her pic later.

I always think that reading the forum is like having a window on the worst and the best of humanity.  I read tales of misfortune, neglect or ignorance the lead to dogs needing rehoming and then I read about the kindest of people who really care about animals.

Poor Rockford, but how wonderful that for him that he spent his last few weeks in the security and love of your family.

We met the lovely Cooper at Paws and he really is adorable, both in looks and personality!
