Tacha having had a wonderful day on her farm with her owners, her children and her companion Toffee, just having celebrated a year..gently died in her sleep. Just 2 yrs old, she left without a flinch or a cry. Just the companionship of her friend, who awoke beside her as she continued to lay still in a 'deep sleep'

Tacha is buried under her favourite tree.

Tacha's thread is below:

Tacha has been through 3 homes already through no fault of her own.  The last her own had a severe allergic reaction as she had had with another dog which was long haired and thought a short haired dog would be fine. So sadly the family had no option than to try and find a safe placement for her..having bought her through an internet website.

Tacha is now in foster care and proving what a wonder-girl she is. Dee Peter and family will update us how she is settling..as she came on Saturday evening. She is now booked for spay tomorrow so she then she is on her road to prepare for her family life as a treasured pet!

And what an absolute little love she is ... she jumped in our car when we picked her up on Sat with no hesitation bless her.. so used to being pushed from pillar to post like Lynne said, thro not fault of her own -  one of her many owners gave her up because she wasn't going to be any good as their status symbol dog - not hard enough lookin for them!!  and they are absolutely correct - she has those eyes that make your heart melt and if only she could talk.  Took her to arrange her Spay today and my vet gave her a big hug and a kiss - was completely blown away with her looks and temperament - she was very honoured to get this from our vet!  My old Sandy didn't get this treatment!!

She's settled in very well with us all - loves everyone especially my son.  Looks to say hello to everyone, and have noticed when we took her to the park yesterday Tacha especially had to say a big hello to all the children!!  She's had lots of lovely comments - her colouring is that very similiar to a Great Dane in my view - not seen a dog with the colourings and markings Tacha has.  Her jumpy - up hellos are well under control both inside and out and is learning her manners well - not sure what it is about my kitchen but like Marley did, Tacha sits automatically in the kitchen too!   She's mixed well with other dogs even shying away from some that are too boisterous and have not heard her bark yet - only yawn!!  Not a demanding dog by any means.  Very laid - the most laid back dog we've had infact.  Very Happy

Tacha is back from the vets after her spay and a little manicure.  Feeling very sorry for herself - poor thing she looks pitiful all tucked up in her bed with her own pillow and Summer's blanket.

She looks much better today - did feel for her last night.  Such a lovely girl and boy does she miss her 2 legged best buds when they go to school!!  Don't see much of Sacha when they are both home - she's great with home work!!  Laughing

Advert   now up on Dogpages

Tacha is a 9 month old Labrador x Staffie.  She is 'blonde'; beautiful but not dumb!  Absolutely full of trust despite yes she is now living in her 4 th home but thankfully this is a foster home where she is being prepared for her forever owners. Oh dear first home felt she wasn't Staffie enough..passed on...next home sold her on..third family desperately loved her but her mistress had a severe reaction to her fur..and cried buckets to see her go.  BUT there she is living in a family with children; small furries and having lots of fun (except the day at the vets to be spayed but we're trying to forget about that day!) She is mixing well with dogs outside just wants to play and play.

Tacha hasn't had the input she so deserved but is so much benefiting from any training offered; her housetraining has improved greatly nearly 100% and whow does she love her walks.  Tacha is going to be an easy dog to own..the main challenge currently is the leaping up to say hello which is so full of enthusiasm has very one in stitches but is being kerbed never the less. She has a laid back air for a puppy of her age...watching and taking it all in. She is so beautiful the vet couldn't help kissing her. Tacha has just been spayed; is fully vax'd and microchipped.

If you are looking for a family dog who needs basic discipline and training but is so eager and happy to oblige you!  Please complete our questionnaire via our website Rescue Remedies click HERE

She is very beautiful  Surprised I wish I could have another dog, I wish I could have another dog ...... Sad

Fingers crossed your forever home comes along soon, I bet it won't take long.

Edited to say how big is she, in the first picture she looks tall and then in the relaxed mode picture she looks small and chunky (in the best huggable snuggable way of course)

Tacha weighs 17 kg and I would judge her being similiar to a Lab - not a big Lab size.  Although "she" thinks shes a Yorkie as she loves to sit on your lap - mines not a prob it's the kids laps she struggles with!

Would like to add also that we've had visitors - some she's met before and some she hasn't and her "jumping up" has ceased here.  She knows to sit or all 4 paws on ground and then she gets lots of kisses and hugs - she's has learnt this so quickly. Had a guy come to check my eletric metre this morn and there was no jumping.  Walked over to say hello (did her little squint with her eyes, which she does to get more fuss and love) then took herself off to the garden.

So pleased with her, left her briefly yesterday for the 1st time (has been left in previous homes for long periods for work reasons and not liked this!!) came home and she fine.  Will start building this up slowly with her.
