Spice is 2-3 yrs old. Found stray last November Great with people and generally fairs well with most other dogs. She is a terrier thru and thru so up for adventure and not trustworthy in her recall. She also was reactive to traffic and still needs careful work here. She is such a love and very endearing. Needs a ‘terrier home. Spice is housetrained and fully vac’d spayed etc. She has been in a rescue centre in kennels since Dec. awaiting her new homes. However she is becoming increasingly fed-up in kennels. Kent

| So glad to hear that. She's been waiting too long for her forever home. An absolute stunner in the fur (photo doesn't show her at her best!!) and made me smile when I used to visit her in kennels. Won't be long now Spice and Dee will work her magic as always. x |

Spice is "sugar and spice and all things nice!" Bursting with character and so happy to be here. She was 11 months in Battersea after being found stray. Her main problem is she will chase cars so needs controlled handling around roads and car areas eg car parks in parks etc. _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier!

Cleo was a committed car chaser - a flyover accross the M3 was last straw from my point of view - but with help from a behaviourist it was cured and she now is safe around cars, horses, joggers and bikes. Electric buggies on golf courses still causes immense excitement but just wanted to say car chasing IS a solvable issue and shouldnt put people off. |

What a little smasher Spice is, she has mixed in with the other dogs fine. Spice is very well behaved and is sticking to me like glue. Peanut is trying her hardest to play, I've told Peanut maybe tomorrow after Spice has had a good nights sleep, such an upheavel for the little girlie _________________ Sue - Chessington

True as eggs are eggs Peanut strikes again, they have been playing none stop all weekend, 4 little people running around has made me feel quiet dizzy. Blue agree's and keeps well out of the way. Snoopy also joined in on Sunday. I have come to the conclution that J.R's make good gardners although clearing up was a bit of a problem as they all had a hold of the old sweet peas I was trying to pull out, they came out with the help of my mates. but I had sweet peas everywhere, even in my bed _________________ Sue - Chessington

What a love Spice is. She has mixed in with my gang wonderfully. A lot of noise and then everything was ok. She is not a possessive dog, she will play happily with a ball and return it to you dropping it at your feet. Spice is happy to eat her own dinner and not bother the others while they eat theirs. She loves to run in the field with the others and is paying no attention to the cars that go by. Spice loves loads of cuddles and treats. All in all she is a terrific little girl _________________ Sue - Chessington

Spice came back to us today. She had done so well in her home living with another 'docile' dog and gaining confidence and skills in so many areas of her life. She had an incident with a Yorkie yesterday which we can only understand as her working instinct coming through and overtaking her. She mistaking the Yorkie for a cat or small furry. She didn't grab and shake but did a prey biting act which would have been stopped immediately had she not run far away from her owners being off the lead. Spice needs to be retained on an extender where the majority of encounters with other dogs will continue to be positive and any instinctual behaviour should it surface again be nipped in the bud.
