Hi, I know I'm just a newbie but I've been reading through the site and having seen this bit thought I would offer an idea I've seen in use elsewhere.

Have you asked local businesses, dosn't have to be dog related, to sponsor a kennel, they have a plaque on the door of a kennel saying sponsored by and their details, this generates interest in their businesses, the plaques can be bought cheaply from ebay, the company provide their own literature and even at just £20 a month think of the income!

That is a really good idea, i think the problem with that is that we don't have our own kennels, we use boarding kennels so we wouldn't be able to put up a plaque. What we might be able to do, and have tentatively discussed in the past, is having people/businesses sponsor kennel and have a mention on our website/newsletter

Right Ok sorry I didn't know that, how about a dog tag on each collar with the companies name on "holly" sponsored by and the name and phone number of the company or private individual?

Don't forget that the new kennels being built at the Croydon kennels are specifically for RR dogs so a plaque could go up on those kennels. Smile

Then our first one should have a plaque with "Pound to Sanctuary" on it and " kindly sponsored by our RR monthly standing order club". Very Happy
