Homing Requirements: Scooby is a terrier in the making so needs a confident family to guide him through his nerves. A quiet family in a low dog density area for him to develop confidence and not to feel over whelmed. A non-confrontational approach with enticement, distraction and lots of positive encouragement. Only pet status and no live in or stay over children until he settles. Upset by traffic but learning slowly.
Video: Scooby down river!
His Story: Scooby grew up in a young family, dearly loved but Scooby found the young child with special needs 'frightening' and unpredictable started to developed strategies for protecting his space. He is a sensitive lad who needs confident supportive owners. Scooby loves rivers. Neutered, chipped and vax'd. In boarding kennels near Gatwick
Advert: Scooby is just 18 months old and has a lot of play within him still. He has a serious side, which is his way of trying to cope within a demanding regime. Scooby needs a gentle confident approach so he can develop further coping skills, his 'edginess' needs to be massaged away and his confidence developed as he builds trust.
Scooby is a solid black and white Jack Russell, with an over shot jaw which adds charm. He has a hop and a skip; needs lots of fun in his life to keep him laughing. Scooby is extremely affectionate and although he needs respect when his nerves come into play, he can be easily be chivvied out into happier times and more interesting tasks.

Scooby arrived in a bit of a tizz
but over the last couple of weeks we have been getting acquainted
with a little help from my cheese sandwiches
some games with a ball
& a bit of splashing around in the puddles
a busy boy - full of fun!
Scooby has gone on trial adoption, as he learns to settle with Molly AnnA's Parson's Jack Russell and Tillie the cat!

"Got home safely with Scooby, all pretty full on this end, but no mishaps. I'm sure he's going to settle in well given time. Best wishes AnnA" _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!
Scooby had fun today out with the lovely Alfie.
He made Charlie and I chuckle with his best behaviour showing he knew sit and down. But it was showing off by sitting abruptly when I asked Alfie to sit.

Yes he is very obedient, I noticed this when giving out treats last Sat, he will sit and give his paw etc, really responsive to commands, a bright little man:)
Scooby was welcoming when I appeared in his kennel with a lead and he danced out of the kennels. Noticed he has a marked overshot jaw today..had wanted to have a good look before and my suspicions were confirmed. Dear soul, who is great fun to be around.

Scooby (& Alfie) kept an eye on new boys Tony & Geoffrey this morning
What he really wanted was a dip in the stream
but it was a bit too chilly - roll on spring!
