Homed

Homing Requirements: Pippy is a cute pup but needs socialisation, socialisation and socialisation as a terrier pup. Ideally to live with another dog. We usually home our puppies with people who come to us for a dog but their situation is too complex for the adults we have. They must have time for a pup and absolute commitment to neuter, it’s a condition of homing.

His Story: Found stray and unclaimed from the pound. Pippy went straight into foster with 2 JRTs and a small holding of 'many animals'. Fostered in Cobham, Surrey

Advert: Fosterer's report: Pippy as you would expect, full of beans, but he's not too 'full on' and will happily sit in his basket chewing a ball or a chew. He likes chewing, but hasn't touched anything he shouldn't have (yet). Absolutely adores scrapping with my two JRT's, but comes running to me when it all gets a bit too much for him & scrabbles to get up on my lap. Sleeps really well all night in his crate, now housetrained. He has a good appetite, but is happy for me to feed my two first, he also dumps his bum on the floor before food is offered to him so I think he may already know the 'sit' command.

He's not too barky, and happy to rumble along on the lead outside, does his wees fine in the garden & has met the llamas, the horse, chickens, ducks and geese with no problems - although I think he would try to catch a chicken if he had his own way, his chase instinct hasn’t kicked in yet. He wasn't too sure about the pigs, but wasn't terrified. He's very cuddly & adores tickles & snuggles. Warning though, he dishes out lots of kisses & will ram his tongue right up your nostrils if you dare look at him in the face. (Sign of the Staffie!) Full of cuddles, love & fun. He's such a funny little fella too. Just 'acquired digging' in the garden as great fun. The only thing he lacks at the moment is any recall - but he's a puppy, that will come in time & he doesn't stay out too long anyway. He prefers his warm basket (or the washing basket) or - as of right now - my lap”!

Pippy's thread below: Watch his progress through our Rescue
Referral Details: Hi Lynne,
I have a male terrier cross puppy which is out of time tomorrow. (16th Nov ). Due to his age I have had his first vaccinations done.  The vet says he is around 4 months old. He is mainly white with one black ear.
Yesterday he was assessed; he looked in good health and had no injuries.  He was happy to be touched and liked human interaction.  He responded to whistles, hand claps and voice commands.  The kennels have had no reports of any problems during his stay.
He was given into the Police Station and they somehow managed to not take any details of where he was found or the finders details, so I am afraid I have no information on him.
I am giving you first choice in this puppy as you helped us out greatly by taking a lot of our bull breeds a few months ago, this is the first dog I have had to re-home in two months.
Photo attached, can you let me know if you are interested in taking this puppy as if not I will sort something else out for him.  I am afraid I will only be able to give one extra days kennelling on this dog as I feel he will be very easy to find a home for.
Thank You  xN

Pippy came into foster with HelenC (+Spud and Fanny) on Tuesday 15th Nov

Well the little fella has been here just shy of a week now, and what a gorgeous pup!

As you would expect, full of beans, but he's not too 'full on' and will happily sit in his basket chewing a ball or a chew.

He likes chewing, but hasn't touched anything he shouldn't have - I left the laptop lead on the floor one day & he left it alone.

Absolutely adores scrapping with my two JRT's, but comes running to me when it all gets a bit too much for him & scrabbles to get up on my lap.

Sleeps really well all night in his crate, has done a few a few tiny overnight wees, but no poos.

He has a good appetite, but is happy for me to feed my two first, he also dumps his bum on the floor before food is offered to him so I think he may already know the 'sit' command.

He's not too barky, and happy to rumble along on the lead outside, does his wees fine in the garden & has met the llamas, the horse, chickens, ducks and geese with no problems - although I think he would try to catch a chicken if he had his own way. He wasn't too sure about the pigs, but wasn't terrified.

He's very cuddly & adores tickles & scruggles. Warning though, he dishes out lots of kisses & will ram his tongue right up your nostrils if you dare look at him in the face.

Basically, this little guy is a blank canvas, he goes with the flow & has such a happy outlook on life, I think he would just slot in!

Will attempt to upload some pictures now...... *deep breath*

Quick update on the little man.

He's turning out to be such a little sweetheart. So keen to please, so wiggy waggy & friendly. He's very good outside, he's off lead and doesn't go far. Does wees & poos in the garden - no bed wetting.
He MUST have more Staffy than Jack in him cos I've never known a puppy NOT be a pest before!! (Although him & Fanny did gang up on a goose this afternoon... Fanny started it though)

Snap him up quick!!

Beep Beep!

Still here.....!!

This little man is ADORABLE.

Full of cuddles & love & fun. He's such a funny little fella too. He's not too naughty either, I've never known a pup so good.
Occasionally I'll find both my slippers in his basket.... But not chewed! Just 'acquired'

The only thing he lacks at the moment is any recall - but he's a puppy, that will come in time & he doesn't stay out too long anyway. He prefers his warm basket (or the washing basket) or - as of right now - my lap!

Quite frankly I'm amazed he's still here & there wasn't a long queue for him!
