Homed

Homing Requirements:  Parry definitely needs to live with another dog or two. Child contact needs to be positive and responsible. His owner needs to 'get' terriers - manage, work with him and make allowances for his terrier ways.

His Story: Parry is now a 15 month terrier who arrived at a Welsh pound as a 6 month pup. He has been happily homed in with another competent terrier and a young child, for nearly a year. However there was a sad incident where the child went to rub his tummy went he was in a very relaxed state and his reacted and bit her hand. We are now looking for a new home for him. We are unsure why Parry reacted on this one occasion but previous enjoyed a close and quite intimate relationship with the child. Parry is neutered, vax'd and chipped.

Advert: Parry is a bright and engaging terrier. He is excitable and has needed attention to engage him in calming initiatives when he meets and greet other dogs and sometimes passing cars. Typical terrier who tends to come forwards with excitement and needs to learn to retain his feet on the floor. Parry is now coming through into adulthood and his puppy ways are beginning to fade and be integrated in his play and eager fun loving self. Parry has been fine with children but an incident where he seems to mistake affection for 'hit' can't really be explained on the basis of his demeanour over the past 9 months.

Parry is a charming smooth haired fell terrier who we believe had been left outside and learnt to amuse himself with a few available objects or chasing light patterns as a pup. This is featuring less in his emergent psyche but he can get fixated and so needs further work to round his engament generally. He does not do well in kennels. Parry is becoming a well rounded adult dog with the companionship of a fluent and kind terrier companion.

Please visit Parry Fell Terrier DOB 11.09 Maidenbower Foster on our Forum to find out more about him and follow his progress.

If you are interested in homing please complete Our on-line Homing Questionnaire so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.

Parry's thread is below: Watch his progress through our Rescue

Parry is a 6 month Fell terrier puppy completely scared by ending up in rescue. He is a dear dear soul who got a rescue place because Digby was offered a foster place. So he is with us and we are looking ideally for his home like NOW! but tomorrow he comes with me to the vets for a check over and as he has 'dropped' he will be snipped and chipped. Bless him..feel for him.

He was a little nippy on meeting Digby but pure puppy and so needs the 'tough and tumble' of dog play.

Walked Parry with Amber today but he was far too busy exploring to bother with her....

Although full of energy & fun he is very easy to walk on the lead.

Another lovely dog!

Walked new boy Parry Sunday - such a sweetie. Bags of energy, to be expected for a puppy. Tried to chew lead , but was quick to obey a firm "no". Otherwise perfectly good boy and with training will be a delight for any family.
