Homed

Homing Requirements: Natalie should live with at least one other dog as she would now find it difficult to be an only dog. She needs her family to continue to help her with catching up on achieving her developmental milestones which she is doing so easily in her foster family. Natalie needs a secure garden and exit management i.e. no casual use of the front door as terriers only see opportunities!

Her Story: Natalie was found stray with her litter sisters. Her owner turned up 2 days after found to claim them, but he had only just discovered they had gone. He then refused to pay the reclaim costs. We took them in just before Christmas and they have all had a wonderful time (One went straight into her home after spay). Spayed, vax'd and chipped. Fostered in Bexhill on Sea.

Advert: Natalie is a 7 month old Patterdale Terrier who has always lived with her sisters and is growing in confidence and skills. She was rather shy but is learning to trust, engaging with people and dogs around her. She is very affectionate and adores cuddles on your lap. She is learning to live independently of her litter sister and relates well to her 3 foster brothers. She has achieved housetraining with attention given, and she is learning to chew appropriately but not out of the woods on this score just yet.

Natalie is a jet black short wire Pattie. She has the classic long nose for inquisitiveness and the big 'duster' paws looking like fake fur boots. Natalie is a dear and she will make a terrier family jump over the moon with delight. She needs formal training but that should be fun. Her instincts are social though she could take up a models life on the cat walk!

Referral letter: Hi Lynne,
I have 3 patterdales terriers. all approx 6 months old. all female. they are from the same litter and identical. i have attached a photo of one. they were found on monday and an owner called today Wednesday but will not pay the fee to have them returned. He will not officially sign them over and will not give any information about them. They had been kept in an outside kennel and after going missing monday lunchtime were apparently not noticed missing until today!!. they are very sweet and friendly. I will wait to hear from you to hopefully arrange collection for early next week.
kind regards Emily Dog warden

Natalie came into our care today. She was spayed, 1st vax'd and chipped. Oscar's mum (and Dad) came to collect her and her sister Natalie and took them into foster. We think they are around 7 months old and as pretty as a picture but this one above doesn't do her justice.

We are very sorry to be so slow at getting onto the site. My iPhone was full so couldn't take pictures and needed to get the big ole camera out and the weather has been rubbish and wet and dark etc......

Natalie and Ebony are the sweetest little girls you could ever hope to meet. The minute we saw them in their cages at the vets they gave us a wag and a lick despite recovering from their operations literally a few hours before.

The first night they proved they knew how to bark and they also had a little whine when we put them to bed but that may have been due to their operations as they have not done it since. Natalie is a little timid especially when you try to kiss her face but Ebony shows none on this and loves her kisses. They have kept their sleeping crate clean but need to learn where to wee etc. For puppies they do not really nip although they have started (a few days in) to attempt to chew but we are not encouraging that and they are very compliant when you tell them to stop. They seem to have learned their names and come when you call each one, which I think is amazing. They love their cuddles and are very very affectionate.

And now the pictures.

Happy New Year.

These are such lovely loving little dogs who will make someone great companions. They settle down with us in the evenings and if there is no room they will find a corner

They are getting muddy every day but they are very happy to have a bath in the kitchen sink, waiting their turn patiently and accepting the warm water and the puppy lather.

I hope this rain finishes soon because everything is getting grubby and muddy and there is only so many times you can wash the bedding and dry it in the dryer. Roll on the frost!

Natalie went out on a little trip on her own with me today and she was obviously very tired when she got back. I'm not sure if she's quite comfortable enough though....

I have tried a few times to post this picture and subsequently lost the text I had written. Running out of time now so I will just let this speak for itself...

Absolutely beautiful girlies, both of them - that last picture is a tonic. I would have that framed and on my fireplace if she were my girl it is so gorgeous  Smile

Today, the garden is still very muddy so the girls, consequently are also caked. However, I feel it is pointless to keep bathing them only to get smothered again so pictures wouldn't do them justice at the moment.
They are getting more and more adventurous and baby like and just love their cuddles in the evening. Someone is going to have such a loving. friendly Patterdale when they home Natalie. Then to top it all she is just gorgeous, too.

Natalie seems to be the one who gets in the way of the camera more than Ebony but just so's you know, we love them equally.
Anyway, we have some pictures of what looks like a terrible squirmish but what is, in fact, just lovely terrier fun. It's our RR Spice and Natalie having a roll around....

I'm in love with Natalie - do you think she'd like a border brother called Basil? He's 18 months old and loves life x

We already have questionnaires in on these puppies.  Homing questionnaires are our first point of enquiry. Enquiry questions on dogs threads are removed within hours as it can give other families who have submitted a questionnaire concerns that their application is being side tracked. Sorry see Forum rules.
