Homed Homing Requirements: Milo needs a terrier home who can offer him patience, safety and occupation. He needs to settle meeting dogs outside as currently excitable. The usual terrier requirements Terrier-proof garden; exit management and respect i.e. non confrontational approach
His Story: Milo was on the vets PTS list as the pound was full and needed space. He was found surrendered in and bounced 2 homes as not 100% with dogs. Vet assessed his temperament and found him friendly and submissive. She called terrierrescue and asked “I want to refuse to PTS but need a Rescue place in the next 2 days can you take? He is delightful!” We said 'Yes' and Milo lived.
Advert: Milo is a small 1 year JRT who is energetic but settles well in company. He has tremendous appeal and although he bounced homes from the pound, these were people who bought a small dog home with 'a wing and a pray' and gave him ‘no time’ He needs time to develop skills as he is a confused teenager. In confident hands Milo visibly relaxes. He travels well. In kennelled which takes it out of him as living on his nerves.
Milo is a tiny tri-coloured tot with a wispy coat and bright searching eyes. He has a good temperament excellent with people, children and when handled by strangers. He may need negotiated terms as he settles in. Terriers need to be handled with respect, given reassurance, allowed to be his own person. Milo will adjust and offer his new owners pure entertainment. Milo needs owners to see him through. He is emerging into a magical terrier.

Milo came to us yesterday from Wales. He was easy to handle and delighted his terrier audience to the 'enth degree'. He sped from Cardiff through to meeting point in Reading then skirted around London to arrive into Fred and Bridget's care while he waits his terrier home. We know he needs a terrier proof garden as he is Mr Curiouso. He took exception to one of the dogs in the santuary wearing a buster collar but was beginning to accept it by the time I left. He can be vocal and had been conversing with a dog on the car radio during his motorway journey. He is thin and stressed in the kennelled environment and we are so hoping he will be in a responsible home environment soon.

Spent the day with Milo2 days ago. He so loved to travel in the dogmobile and we had friendly cuddles and strokes. He is very trusting with the human hand and didn't have an edge at all. The kennel owners have found the same a really friendly chap.
Milo in Bushy Park
Milo gets quite fired up seeing dogs and wants to meet. Using a cloth muzzle he was play-nipping away and needed to time to relax. This will be the fulcrum issue of homing that people are prepared to take him through so that he learns to settle alongside dogs and depending on progress he will need a light muzzle until manners are learned. Every other area however he champions in. No doubt he will be a busy little person in the home! No for live in children as he is too vunerable and really needs the families attention on him and his needs. Visiting young children should be fine when supervised so his energy isn't whipped up with screeching or running.

Moved Milo to GN yesterday and enjoyed his company on a very slow moving M25. When he wasn't counting the lorries in the slow lane he was trying to get onto my lap. Nett result - a male JRT positioned over the gear stick . All credit to Milo; he only showed surprise but no objection when I changed gear.
A comfort stop, when we finally left the motorway, was a chance for Milo to relieve himself (no hesitation on both counts) and hurl abuse at a passing boxer. Fairly easily distracted but clearly needs better manners.
When I popped Sammy into the crate in the back Milo was very noisy for a while but, with a towel over the crate and no reaction from me, he soon calmed down and actually curled up - asleep? - for the rest of the journey
Sorry, no pictures but they would have looked just like the ones of Milo in Lynne's dogmobile.
oooh Milo. What a lovely little boy. So pleased to see me when I reached his kennel after watching me take the other terriers out.
He has the most amazing coat, really soft and patterned almost like a springer. Hard to capture on film but the little faded dots on his back are so beautiful.
That's before I even mention his gorgeous face. Such a little sweetie.
I think he should be called mi love rather than milo. He's just so scrumptious.

Milo
what a looker, handsome looking chap theres a forever home waiting for him... _________________ 100% Terrier, these little pocket rockets are fun, independent, high energy bundles of love, not for the faint hearted. They need commitment, what you get back is is love and loyalty now how bad is that....
Little Milo, just so sweet and easy. Soooo tiny. I can see the measuring wellington will need to go with me on Friday just to show he is barely taller than a blade of grass and feels as light as a feather to hold. It's so hard to show in ordinary photos.
