Homed Homing Requirements: Megan needs a family where their dog is the centre of their universe. We're looking for 6' panel fencing; another fluent dog or only pet status and a companion home with part-time or homeworker.
Her Story: Megan was found stray and won the pound kennel staff's hearts and somehow never got put on the 'Put to sleep list'. We honoured their devotion and got them off the hook by coming forwards for Mags..to our very great pleasure. Megan was found chipped but previous owner passed her on long ago. Megan in now spayed, vax'd and as already chipped so retains her original name.
Advert: Megan is a model dog inside her home you hardly know she is there. Walking Mags is like walking a lurcher or an alerter! Her focus is on the horizon, tuned and so fascinating to watch. Terrier owners know this also. She isn't pully and easily managed on an extender lead. She meets all sized dogs really well. Megan was fostered over the winter with 2 other dogs and proved herself to be a real gem. She got on with the resident dogs but one was a little jealous of her. At home she relaxes; such a loving dog and calm happy to sit by the fire or in a glade of sunshine.
Megan unique pretty pretty ooks will have you guessing. She is small 16" to the shoulder, she has a deep narrow chest denotes a whippet influence. Her adoreable face is sincere, gentle soft and very kissable...you won't resist. Her age, we needed to double checked her chip details 8 years old!. She looks like a spring lamb and acts like one! Her colour is a stunning golden red. She is a small build dog and will live long. Brilliant little dog with lots of character and so accomplished.!
If you are interested in re-homing please complete Our on-line Homing Questionnaire so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.
Please follow Megan thread: Watch her progress through our Rescue Referral Details: Sweet crossbreed bitch, around 7 years old (Now 8 year). Sweet natured girl, seems OK around other dogs. Very quiet in kennel just sits and waits for someone to approach and then will jump up and try and kiss you.
Megan hopefully comes tomorrow straight into vets for spay _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!
Dear Megan. We have found her already microchipped so Megan is her original name and she is 7 years old. She is a lovely and unusual looking dog. She has a deep red coat and a pretty pretty head with the furrows of a tiny boxer head with an undershot jaw. Her body has a deep chest and again reminisent of a Boxer or Lurcher. Her feel is not Staffie in anyway and on her walk she is so into the 'focus of smell' These pics are of her straight out of the vets.

Posted for Beryl a new walker :
I took her out yesterday, and she was great to walk, but difficult to get out of the kennel block, where dogs were barking at her but once away from the barking she was fine.
The kennel environment can be very stressful for dogs especially at first.
Megan is quite an unusual looking girl - looking forward to getting to know her better
Took Megan out for the first time today. A sweet little girl who hates being in the kennel. Got a bit wound up by the other dogs as we left the kennel block but quickly calmed and settled into a nice walk. Very interested in everything around her, stopping to investigate every blade of grass! Really enjoyed her time out and came across as a playful, friendly dog. Clearly unhappy to go back into the kennel, fingers crossed it won't be for too long.
Megan yes she is smallish about 16=17" to the shoulder.
She travelled well today a long journey to our vets where she was 1st vax'd. Lovely girl lovely lovely _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!
Megan out and about today, chosen for Helen who was just being shown the ropes ( or should we say leads) in vol. dog walking. Megan was being distracted by a very excited Dexter at the time who was a bit too lively to meet her but probably would have walked nicely with her given the opportunity further on his walk but we had to turn back. Another day Mags!

Megan was taken out for a walk today but just before she went I gave her a dose of wormer just to help along her way! _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!
I took Megan out yesterday just before I had to go home. She is like a little giraffe! Long legs, long neck and a little head placed on top! Very sweet terrier mix. Went a bit wild when we got to Jessie on the way out but I just about managed to get through the door with her! Away from the kennels she is very good on her lead, just wants to look about for any movement in the fields and sniff around. It was bad timing that when we had almost reached the kennels to go back, a fox appeared and it set her off (like any terrier!). Loves her treats and is just happy to be out and about!
Megan came for a long ride today in a crate to meet Laura our vet for her second vax. She was so well behaved; she had a looney terrier next to her creating. She then came back to the kennels and we decided to move her to Gatwick (N) as they have more room than Gatwick (N) currently so when Alyson asked me what was she ... I stumbled terrier; lurcher; Staffie; boxer; ....DOG! And a very very sweet one at that!
Walking Megan is an education. She is a keen worker, under she goes, off she goes... no I wouldn't have her off lead not unless really familar with her territory and proven to be connected. She is amazing. Perhaps she is Gazelle...
