This is Mabel...

She came in as a late request. She arrived here with Stan and was a puppy who had been picked up as a stray and never claimed.

She is a Collie cross of about 17 weeks old.

She has got a lovely temprement and is a very calm and loving puppy.

She will have her first vaccinations and microchip next week and is now currently looking for a new home.

She is living with a multi-dog household at the moment, plus is mixing with cats and small animals with no reaction.

If you can offer Mabel a lovely home, please contact me. Smile

What can I say about Mabel?   Shocked

This has got to be the STUPIDIST puppy that has ever been in this house!

Picture this...my extremely fat cat laying in the kitchen in her bed snoozing her life away as she does.
Mabel enters the room and decides that Suki needs to play. Suki lazily opens one eye only to be met full on by a puppy so full of love!  Mabel creeps up to her on her belly, little tail waggling away. Suki hisses and spits at her. Mabel doesn't pick up on the sheer hate in this hiss and thinks that maybe a cuddle will help?
So Suki swipes at her. 'Oh yay!'   Basketball  thinks The Moog! She obviously wants to play! Maybe a lick will help? So Mabel tries to wash Suki's face. Suki wraps her front legs round Mabel and grips on TIGHT, a foot by each ear and out come the claws!
'Oh wow!'   love4  thinks Mabel! A cuddle! Obviously this means that she must need more washing???
So Suki then bites down on her head and chews. The Moog has alot of soft skin that stretches far, so this is quite easy to chew on. Finally Mabel has got the hint, so then starts to whine pitifully because maybe, just maybe, she has got herself into a bit of trouble!
Thids all happened in about 10 seconds and luckily Emma was about to help out by rescuing her from the nutty cat who just wanted to sleep!
So Mabel walks sadly out of the kitchen to contemplate her actions...Nah! She couldn't have meant it!!!
So in she bounds and does it ALL OVER AGAIN!
Needless to say that puppy and cat are now seperated. Not because I am worried for the cat, but worried for the puppy!

Emma

Mabel has settled in beautifully - she is the calmest, gentlest little girl with such a sunny disposition.  Rigsby, who we thought might be a problem, has accepted her without any qualms and they are now asleep together on a duvet by the radiator.  Cleo, who we thought would love her immediatley has taken a little time to come round - she was not very friendly to begin with but is slowly deciding that Mabel might just be a good playmate.  They have just had a mad play in the garden and seem good friends after a mutual digging up the garden session.
Mabel had a lovely walk around Chobham Common this morning - she greeted everyone with pleasure and made friends with all the dogs she met.  She was off lead all the way and is learning to 'come' with a treat of roast chicken, and knows 'sit' very well.  Has a bit to learn in the toilet training department - but it will happen!  Smile

A little update on Mabel - she has not grown as big as we thought she might although she has filled out and is a well built girl! She has the sunniest of temperaments, is very loving, adores everyone and all dogs and assumes everyone is her best buddy.
She could walk the length of the country without pausing and it is never too early to be out exploring - about 5.30am she thinks is right!
Mabel on a recent walk -

And then a little rest....

And finally a good old stretch....

I think she feels at home Very Happy

Mabel has been speyed today so will be getting lots of extra cuddles and tlc.
