My friends have lost their puppy. It slipped out through the door and could only have been gone for a matter of a minute or two before they realised. Despite this they could not find it. I'd be ever so grateful if you could keep your eyes open for it:
'Irish Red Terrier puppy, tan with black markings and muzzle, 9 weeks old.  Wearing red collar with bone shaped disc inscribed Red Wally  14-07-09..  Went missing from back garden of 184 Stafford Road, Caterham. CR3 6JG. at approx. 6.15pm on 21/09/09'
If you know of any other good web sites where I can also post this, please let me know. Thanks

I am sure that Sharon will be on later to let you know which forums she posts on.

You could try dogpages as there are a lot of dog people on there. I would also contact the Doglost people and all of the vets in your area. If they haven't already done so, they should put up posters with as good a picture as they can and put leaflets through doors in the local area

This is, I believe, the most prominent UK lost dog site:

http://www.doglost.co.uk/page.aspx?pg=72

Best of luck!

Any pics?

Yes that correct and this is the 2nd one:

Dog Lost will help you put together an effective poster, hopefully with photograph/contact details and I can post it for you on all the forums that we use.  Meantime I will post the info you have given so far and ask anyone that hears anything to come back to me.  Please p.m. me contact details.

I will also p.m. you an e-mail string of Surrey vet addresses for you to contact directly.

It is also important that you keep us updated immediately that you have any news.  I will also move this thread to our Lost/Found section.

Fingers crossed, they are in our thoughts.

Have posted across all the forums we use with a request for others to cross post where they can.  If anyone reading this can cross post anywhere please do so.  Thanks

Good News!!!!
The puppy was returned last night minus it's collar.
It's thought that the people who found him were intending to keep him, but were put off by the posters put up and leaflets put through doors.
They returned him minus collar otherwise no excuse not to have contacted the owners when found.
Many thanks for all the help & suggestions - one very lucky terrier Very Happy
