Kezzie offered her heart and was loved by all she met. She loved nothing more than to be stroked and stroked on her head and then touch the floor and she would lie and roll over for belly rubs. She will be missed and had a wonderful 5 months with June and her family
Kezzie's thread is below: Referral details: Kezzie's owner has died suddenly and she was found with him beside him. He was 78 years old and not been seen for a few days. She is being visited daily by the son who was astranged so knows nothing about her background at all other than she was a loyal companion. The flat has to be handed back in 2 days time. He believes she is spayed. She is housetrained. Her claws are long and we will be getting her checked over by our vets for a health plan.
Collecting her tomorrow afternoon. Smooth haired intermediate legged Jack Russell. She looks a dear soul.
Collected little Kezzie yesterday. When I arrived she was eating grass beside the road off lead at the front of her flats which effectively was the end of a cul de sac. She showed me where her flat was and ran along with her long claws slicking on the concrete. Concerned to get into the crate and told Daisy what as you would expect her too!
Started out on a walk with me but something spooked her and she set back towards the kennel. She will do very well in Gatwick N and build a foundation for her new home. Tomorrow she is going into the vets for ?spay ?dental ?removal of skin tag 1st Vax and microchipping...oh and probably glands and definitely claws clipped!

Kezzie came to the vets today for an MOT and whatever she needs. Ian examined her and pretty sure she has a spay scar. Her teeth are also good. He cleared her anal glands; Clipped her claws as they were 'curly'. She had her first vax and was microchipped. When she got back to the kennel she was 'groomed' in the the sense she was brushed and then I applied Advocate. A lovely walk which was the first of many but she was tired by it... soon was her happy smily self again She will drop her weight naturally. She is in good condition all things considered. _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!
Such good news re the spay and her condition. Looking forward to seeing more pics/video and am sure she will bloom. Come on JRT lovers ... she needs a human companion to take care of her, where are you? _________________ SHARONR - ADMIN
Kezzie stepped out with Ted today
happy to share
catch me if you can...
ha ha ha
she had a real spring in her step which made it even harder to put her back in her kennel
My first walk for RR turned out to be Kezzie (I'd only gone to collect tombola stuff but Susiebee had other plans ...) and what a poppet! Game to get out there and keeping up with Alfie SR like a good 'un. She relaxed enough to stop shaking - and had a twinkle in her eye - but she clearly finds the whole kennel experience bewildering. Left her sitting by her kennel door in her "jewelled" collar and felt like I'd just taken granny back to "The Home" after a day out. Please, please can we find a foster for this sweetheart ....
Kezzie sharing her forever home wish list with Peter....
Peter thought she'd like a young man about town with a sports car (wouldn't we all !) but I think Kezzie would love anyone with a warm lap, a cup of tea and a biscuit.
Such a sweet girl. Plus the perfect enticement to lure Peter into my sad eyed 'I'm here all alone, could you help me walk the dogs, we have 2 really lovely terriers and I know you'll love them'.
Such a gentleman Peter stayed all day in the muggiest weather and all the dogs thought he was wonderful. Thanks Peter, you are welcome anytime !
Well, the lovely (if rather portly) Kezzie is now here with me. Obviously it's all very different here to the life she was used to, but she's getting the hang of being with other dogs, and the hustle and bustle of family life.
She is very much a people dog, and would make someone a perfect companion. Her favourite place is right on your feet, bless her. She did try and jump up on the sofa to get even closer this morning, but she was a bit too, erm, well-built to manage that Having said that, she moves surprisingly quickly, and keeps up a good pace on her walks, so hopefully before too long she'll be looking a bit more shapely
In the flesh she comes across as a far younger dog than her pictures may suggest, so don't be put off because you think she's an old girl - she's just a bit greyer than she used to be that's all (and let's face it, she's not the only one! )
