Homed

Homing requirements: Kelly requires a family around her who can enjoy her young vibrant, intelligent and loving energy. She needs training and support. She would enjoy a good sized garden which is secure with regular routine exercise. She is still a puppy in many ways.

Her Story: Kelly was found stray unchipped, unspayed with no collar as a 1-2 year old medium sized American Bull cross. She is now spayed, vaccinated and chipped. She was in foster as an only pet in Lightwater Surrey now back in kenns.

Advert: Kelly is striking in looks, youth and friendliness. She settles alongside dogs well. She is easy to manage and handle; receptive and loving in all her exchanges with people. Housetrained.  "If in doubt get on the floor and present tummy in submission!"Travels well in a crate on journeys and settles on the passenger seat too.

Kelly is a young American Bulldog girl, in 'pristine' health. Sunny nature, despite her transitory predicament. Versatile and will suit a family looking for an affable, trainable, medium sized dog. No doubt she would be good around respectful children, with engagement in expectation and within a supportive regime. She has a joyful feel.

Referral Details: Hi Lynn, I was wondering if you could help me. I will have a lovely female Staffordshire Bull Terrier which will be out of time on Wednesday 29th Feb.  So far no one has made any enquires about her.  Sussex police have had no reports of this missing dog.  She was found wandering around in Crawley. She is not chipped. When found she was not wearing a collar.

She has been assessed and judging by the condition of her teeth and playful demeanour we believe her to be 1 old. Her teeth are clean and clear of scaling. Her Coat is shiny and the skin is good. Her ears are free of any build up of wax and her eyes are clear, no weeping or redness.  She has no difficulty in moving or signs of limping. She has a lovely temperament and is happy to be touched, she is very affectionate and responded well when we called her. She walked along the corridor and there were some very noisy barking dogs and she simply sniffed them and carried on, she showed no signs of aggression whatsoever. She did pull on the lead a bit, but it may be because she has been in the kennel for a while.
I have attached photos.
The kennels have reported no problems with her whilst she has been in the kennels.
Please can you let me know if you can provide a home for her as soon as possible? Can you let me know either way? I can provide any extra 7 days kennelling for this dog. Nikkie 27/2/12

We took Kelly over last week. She spayed and 1st vax'd her and chipped her.

Kelly came for a spin in the van for a short journey into the village to visit the vets for her first jab. She shared the van with 2 others, herself being in the passenger seat, very curious and excepting of Marvel entering a crate in close proximity. She was easy to manage getting out of her kennel and to and from the van. She didn’t think much of being tied by a lead to the seat so ‘released’ herself in my absence: All smiles! Exemplary in the vets hands, ofcourse Kelly thought the thing to do was to offer her belly for examination..well yes, spay scar healing nicely, and a little polish applied by the vet! Not a murmur with her jab, then for a lovely walk. She was mystified by the horses occupying the fields. Young, vibrant and serene. Easy to photograph as she stopped to see and witness life beyond her kennel walls with awe.

Be happy Kelly!

I walked the lovely Kelly the first Saturday she was in. Cool

An absolute star of a dog - walked beautifully with the other dogs....especially considering that everything was new to her. Smile   Am hoping to make her a regular walk of mine but I've got a feeling that she's going to be a popular choice amongst the walkers Double Wink

Well what a little stunner our Kelly is. Took her out yesterday, my first walk with her and she is a little diamond. Happy to be harnessed and lovely to walk. Enjoyed our walk and took the opportunity to explore and sniff and enjoy the warmth of the beautiful sunshine. She is a delightful dog and fingers and paws and toes crossed she will be snapped up and in a warm cosy home soon. Good luck our Kelly x

I think this morning was only the second time I have walked Kelly and she is just the most amazing dog. Not only is she stunningly good looking but has perfect manners and a lovely affectionate nature.
She walks beauifully on the lead looking up and checking with you regularly, she waits patiently at the stile  without needing to be asked, while you climb over and if you ask her to sit she will and gives a paw too. So gentle and relaxed and huggable. (she does have an inclination to chase rabbits though, but a firm hand if she is on the lead is all she needs)

sit, paw and taking her treat ever so gently

What a stunning girl!

Kelly found herself an admirer on her walk today, she was more than happy to have a fuss while we chatted.

I had the pleasure of Kelly's company today. She was a real sweetie to walk, no pulling and calmly enjoying the sunshine and just looking around her and calmly taking in her surroundings. We saw a couple of other dogs and she was inquisitive and watched as they disappeared around corners. She has the most stunning eyes and face and is a little darling. She is easy to harness and gently takes treats. a real stunner.

Kelly and me had an enjoyable new walk on Saturday courtesy of Zoe and her doggie companion and we got a good move on - in fact, it was Kelly not me who was lagging at the finish (for a change!!!).  Thoroughly georgeous girl who soon settles down to enjoy her walk which was made extra special by the new route and the lovely weather - and of course the company of another dog animated-smileys-easter-017

This stunning girl has really wormed her way into my affections. She is just beautiful, inside and out, with her lovely calm, affectionate nature and her respect for her walker, who would not fall head over heels for her.

I know I keep repeating myself but STUNNING is the best word  to described the beautiful Kelly. I can't believe she is still waiting for her forever home.

Kelly was a shining star yesterday on the charity walk.  She walked alongside my JT terrier Polly Pocket (also from RR) - my cat is bigger than her - without no trouble.  In fact it was Polly who decided she wanted a sausage before Kelly and told her so as well.  She met others, including children with waggy tail and lots of kisses.  She waited for me to navigate the steep downhill bits of the walk. She jumped into the crate in the back of the car with no trouble and stayed there quietly on the journey to the start of the walk.  In fact, she could do no wrong today.  She is a gorgeous girl both inside and out and would make a lovely family dog
