Homed

Homing requirements: Nyx is an easily trained dog & she needs people who are there for her. An only dog who is good meeting dogs outside. Nyx will needs a secure garden ideally big enough for her to run and play.

Her Story: Nyx was found stray and unclaimed. Now neutered, chipped and fully vax'd. Currently in boarding kennels.

Video: Nyx enjoying her walk 2

Advert: Nyx is a energetic young dog who seems to have a touch of sight hound e.g. whippet in her makeup: Recall may not therefore be her strength. Nyx is well mannered on her lead and is happy to walk with other dogs. She wants to play and can be vocal. She understands basic commands, will 'sit', 'down' and paw ... 'which one?!’ Nyx could be a first time dog owner’s delight providing they understand her breed mix. She may need intense training to achieve off lead recall.

Slender, graceful and so attentive to treat and praise. 'Lithe' is the word.  Nyx has a special feel which sells her to admiring companions. She seems to chuckle and her charisma is engaging. She may go in with another dog providing they can teach her how to play nicely and link her in with her owners. She could just as well succeed with certainty as an only 'much loved' dog!

Please visit Nyx Crossbreed DOB 01.11 Doking in our Forum to find out more and follow her progress.

Nyx had been held at the pound for one month and ran out of time. We squeezed her in on the pray an extra homing would give her that place. She came yesterday and today we homed Bryany...Today she was booked in to go tho heaven but instead she is meeting her new friends who will care for her.  We spayed, chipped and 2nd vax'd her yesterday so she is now recovering in kennels and doing very well.

Lovely to meet Nyx today. She reminded me of a dog we had in our rescue some time ago - very sweet and slight framed ...

Nyx was my special choice today. She has been in a kennel without a run and has grazed her thigh (White patch on photo) getting over energized. We have asked her to go into a kennel with a run now as one has become available. She did come out of her kennel "very high and bouncy" and it took 3-4 mins for her to calm down. As you can see from the videos she calmed down into the beautifully, well mannered girl she truly is. A really special dog who is going to make a family very proud.

Nyx is a very, very pretty girl. Very light framed and moves with all the grace of a long legged hound dog.

I love being out with her, I feel as though she casts some of her glamour glow onto me and for one walk of the day I feel light on my feet.

She also has a love of wildlife and was careful to point out any potential squirrel activity to me ...

The more time I spend with Nyx the lovelier she gets.

She is very beautiful, with the most delicate face.

She is also the only dog I've ever walked who will lay in her bed when I pop her back in her kennel. She just loves a good cuddle so happily got into her bed so she could put all 4 paws in the air and get her tummy tickled.

She is going to give someone a lot of fun and probably an infinite amount of love judging by what I've seen so far.

Although she loves her squirrel watch she will happily walk away when I call her.

Had the very great pleasure of Nyx's company for the day today. She was delighted to be adorned with her harness though excitement got the better of her on occasions. She came into the front seat and what delight she took after being a little scared travelling initially. Nyx settled and her head came into my underarm location and snuggled throughout the ride.

Having seen Dove and Barney go in a meet Ian Nyx asked if it was her turn so indeed it was and Ian checked her over and removed her spay stitches. She then snuggled down and arrived to have a lovely walk with Chewie They settled very well together for most of their walk. Nyx also met other dogs really well. Kailey however was up for play and she had a very slight rough edge to her prompts which Chewie was not too pleased with. Sadly this isn't to be Nyx's foster place. She was invited in for treats with Ruuthi and Steve.

Nyx has moved to Farnham Kenns and awaits her friends there.

We met Nyx yesterday with a view to fostering her. She has the softest coat, very much the whippet in her, and the smile/companionship of the Staffie. She was bouncy to start with but who can blame her, desperate for a walk to burn off her puppy energy. I had good feelings when she & Chewie walked happily side by side, hoping we'd be the ones who could take her through some basic training and give her some loving. Unfortunately, Chewie doesn't tolerate puppy energy too well, so she went back to kennels.
I think Nyx would benefit from a calm foster sibling who can put her in her place but relax for play also. She is so keen to please. In the house she lay down & relaxed while we chatted away. As soon as you catch her eye though, she's keen for cuddles and rolls over for a belly rub. Ooh she's scrumptious!

I had the honour of meeting and walking Nyx today.  What a stunning little girl she is!  She melted my heart... and is right at the top of my favourites list.   :xmas cheesygrin:

What a bizarrely sad story she has for such a gorgeous, clever puppy.   Crying or Very sad   She is in a safe place now. Whew.

Nyx is FULL of youthful exuberance.  smiliz65.gif  I needed to remind her that it was better manners to keep all four paws on the floor, but she is SO EAGER TO PLEASE, that by the end of our walk, she was not jumping up at all, and sat instantly when I asked her to do so.

She responds extremely well to treats and soft praise and she absolutely LOVES cuddles and especially neck/chest scratches!  She melts into you, and I can see her quickly becoming a very leggy, lithe, graceful lap dog!   Laugh  Nyx also recognizes her name and looked at me and came to me when I asked her to.  A great start for recall!

She LOVES people.  We ran across a couple people on our walk and she was VERY keen to meet them.  Again, she had to be reminded to sit and keep her paws on the floor - she just gets so happily excited!  Kailey needs some basic puppy training, but because she's so willing to take guidance, she will be a joy to have as a family dog.

This little pup is just too cuddly and adorable to pass by.  I just know she'll have a good home soon.  I could snuggle up with her for hours, the scrumptious, irresistible little girl!   love1

I met this beautiful girl for the first time today. I can only echo what everyone else says about her. She is absolutely full of puppyish excitement and is a joy to be out with. The first 10 minutes she did have trouble keeping even one of her four paws on the floor but once we got going she was more interested in exploring forwards than upwards. She is such a lithe, graceful girl.

The photos are rubbish I'm afraid as she wouldn't stay still  icon_redface.gif

Nyx had a great walk out with Mags today.  She was initially very keen to get Mags to play, and was a bit OTT in her advances.  Good old Mags took it all in her stride though, and Kailey soon settled down!

Nyx is a dog who so wants to please, but sometimes can't hold her excitement in and boings about.  She desperately needs a family to come along and give her some time and training, as she has all the makings of a totally cracking dog.  Gorgeous!!

Nyx is such a giddy kipper, overflowing with enthusiasm and excitement and so desperate to play  smiliz65.gif
Although she was a bit OTT with Mags at the beginning, she responded immediately to Jayne and did so throughout the long walk. She learns so quickly and it was a joy to watch her cute little face concentrating on Jayne, trying her best to be a good girl for her  :xmas cheesygrin:

Leo and I walked the beautiful Nyx today! Oh my goodnes what a sweet little puppy. She's far smaller then I thought she would be seeing her pictures on the thread. Nyx is absolute lovely and so well behaved. She even knows basic commands - we were well suprised and had a fantastic time.

Come and meet Nyx. You will fall in love immediately! Beautiful girl!
