Homed

Homing requirements: Sadie is calm in the house and would suit a family who understands what it is to have a terrier; making sure exits are managed so she doesn't go through an open door or window or over a low fence. Only pet. Can be left with lunchtime visits. Enjoys a secure garden. Exemplary with people.

Her Story: Little Sadie was surrendered into a pound just before Christmas as her owners were working very long hours. Everyone went full out to get her out to avoid being put to sleep. Sadie is neutered, chipped and vax'd.

Advert:Sadie is a dear dear dog. She is exceptionally loving in the home and proven with children but hasn't lived with them. Was best of friends with the dogs she grew up from a puppy BUT a little defensive with other dogs if situation becomes unsure. Walks well on the lead but needs 'low dog density' exercise areas. Foster Sadie needs more work when it comes to other dogs, but I am confident that, with the right owner, she will become a Little Miss Socialite.  She obeys lots of different commands and, once she gets used to you, can read your mind! :0)
We hope that the right family comes for Sadie as she is a jewel!"

Sadie has an orange brindle; almost vivid orange coat. She skin/ coat is tip top condition now and she is a picture of health. Her fosterers wanted to keep her but are going to America and unsure of work situation there. Sadie roots into your heart; a dear dear love. Everything you would want from a little dog just needs to be managed well around other dogs to keep her attention on her walk then all is well.

Please visit this Sadie's thread, in Dogs needing homes in foster on Our forum http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/about2556.html to find out more about her and follow her progress.

If you are interested in re-homing please complete our homing questionnaire https://rescueremedies.wufoo.com/forms/r7x3s5/ so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.

See Sadie's thread below and watch her progress through our rescue

I met Sadie today and met a little girl. She is small and glows like oranges with the most remarkable coat. She has a thicker tail than most staffies. She felt almost 'Foxy'. Here she has her 'worried' look on but then who was I? where was this? Out in the snow with nowhere to go.

Lee my brother in law got lucky again and took this little girl and I mean little! out for a walk he looked like he was on a stroll in the park. i didn't think there was any hurry in either of them. Iam not sure if it was because Lee was a sleep walking or if it was just Jingle helping Lee to stay upright but they seemed very suited. He said she seemed very quiet and in no hurry, just happy to be out. i watched them having a photo shoot while i was playing ball with Zebedee and she was watching us and looked as if she was desperate to join in...lovely colour on this girl.

Try as we have, we still haven't captured little miss Jingle's beauty on camera yet. Went in today and 34 pictures later and a bag of treat gone not one worth adding to the above. So I have to get the Camcorder (my Xmas present as well as new dog guard for the car) instruction leaflet out! Sadie what pain you cause me!

PS Sadie isn't highly food motivated.

We took Sadie out for a walk in the snow today we tried to walk her with another dog but think we may have picked the wrong one so she and I headed out alone.
What a delightful dog - I would adopt her tomorrow if I could - very obedient stops when you do and barely pulls - sits well for treats and even offered her head to me to get the harness on her in the kennel and was no trouble to get the coat on either.  She had two leads on for my benefit not hers (still building up my confidence with these animals - dont want to risk losing one!) but she barely needed one!
Very affectionate too was happy to stop for cuddles.  A wonderful easy dog although seems a bit sad - dont think kennels are a happy place for her - please someone give this lovely girl a home soon she really deserves it and would be a very rewarding dog to own.

Sadie was my partner as we headed off to explore a new walk, she is a pleasure on the lead, didn't think much of the dogs barking as we passed their gates, but continued with a spring in her step, no worries about muddy puddles in fact she liked the look of the stream (I didn't like the look of the slippery bank!) loved the woods - a real character waiting to be discovered & Oh such a Gentle Sadie to sit & take a treat.  No luck with a photo for me either so just a shot of her furrowed brow....

We took Sadie out today.

She is a very cute tiny little staffy. Our own staffy is very small so I was surprised to meet Jinx who is even smaller.

Lovely nature, I walked into the kennels and she was easy to put on the lead/harness.

Great out on the walk, she maybe small but is still quite strong. Walked fine though and was very affectionate.

Hope she finds a home soon as is a lovely little staffy.

Sadie may be a pocket Staffie but she has the feel of a different type of terrier - busy nose, busy tail, jaunty walk - we had lots of fun on our walk.

Watching the sheep...

Our little pocket sized Staffie popped into Stephen's pocket today and went home to meet Melissa. Sadie has offered to help with dish washing; ironing and gardening...she insists on offering more than her great looks and fun personality..bless her.

Received information from Sadie's original owners :

She is 3 years old and lived with 2 adults. She grew up with 2 other dogs who are owned by the owners mother and sister. She is reported to be great with these dogs but" not very good" with other dogs. She is fabulous with people; strangers and children of all ages though hasn't lived with children. She will bark at passerby. She hasn't had puppies. She loves to chase a ball and play fetch. She is very well housetrained. wasn't allowed upstairs; was invited on to laps; Slept in the kitchen and had a bed in the garage for during the day in the summer. Needs a secure garden; will jump over low fence. Surrendered her as work hours were increased and she was being left for continual long periods.

Sadie is doing so well in foster..in fact her fosterers are considering...keeping her.. but they are going to THE USA and its really needs careful thought.

Meanwhile Sadie badly cut her paw so is visiting our vet this pm.
