Homed
Referral Details: JimJam was found wandering outside a Rescue centre. They took him in and found he wasn't chipped; etc. They put out feelers but as he had a lump on his neck they suspected he had been dumped bless. The Rescue centre neutered; chipped; 1st vax'd and removed the lump for him. It came cleanly away and although they have sent it for analysis it didn't look sinister. We were asked if terrierrescue would take him and we are delighted to.

JimJam collected on Sunday the 30th October from Reading Services transport stop. He travelled in his crate to Gatwick (N)  kennels. JimJam had had a go at his lump removal site and needed it restitched on Friday. He however was very tolerant of our attempts to cover it (knowing he would remove it overnight Embarassed ). He however isn't bothering his wound and all is well. Pictures to follow.

Belated pictures of JimJam as he arrived.

His wound is healing nicely and it is now open without cover and he isn't troubling it.

JimJam is so sweet - a big hit with the girls at the kennels - such a sad face quietly watching from his bed Crying or Very sad

Lively & fun exploring the wood

Not impressed by the Wellington Scale

I'd rather have a cuddle

Badly in need of some home comforts - I'm sure he would be no trouble Wink

Jimjam is such a cutie!  He trotted along really nicely today, very alert, interested in his surroundings and so keen to walk.  A really pleasant stroll with a real sweetie.

At the end of walk he kept looking up at Frank as of to say I'm tired and for a little way he got carried . Only a little as Rhona didn't understand why he was beeing carried . Thanks to all for a lovely walk it was very nice meeting up with you all. X

Bless him, Jimjam was more interested in his friends behind us today than actually going for a walk. Quite a sociable chap!

Caz and I had the joy of meeting and walking the fabulous JimJam today. He's a lovely little fella and so easy to walk! Really well behaved and a joy to spend time with. He was absolutely perfect with other dogs around him - all in all the perfect little package ready to make a someone really happy!

Oh, and what a stunning looking little dog too!!

JimJam came to the vets today for a check over and his second vax. The vet clipped his front claws, checked his ears out and suggested we watch his right ear as a little inflamed. He has a broken tooth but not causing him distress and nothing to do there. She checked his wound, healing nicely but we did note it had taken a long time to heal as had his neutering site. The vet did discover a tube growth on the top of his neck next to where his previous lump had been. We never heard from the previous vet who sent away the previous growth, so had assume all was well. I emailed on return to ask them to let us know the Lab. analysis report on his lumpectomy so we can discuss this with his potential family

We now have the verdict on the orginal lump

"The lump was a cyst containing pus and hair so it was not sent off, The vet said it had no roots and came away with ease, hope that helps."

We can now safely assume this other lump is a cystic spur.
