Evie is free of her diseased body; free of pain and free of kennels but she isn't free of Our love. Evie asked us yesterday for her freedom and today she showed her strength and determination and walked out from the kennels..got in and out of the car... and enjoyed a lovely slow walk and rest in the park. Yes 'little Lady' you went out in Evie style ..now fly...
Evie's thread is below
Evie is a sweetheart. She has been in the pound since September. We are trying to arrange transport for her to come to us asap. Another gorgeous girl found tied to a tree.

Evie got upset in the vets so they didn't do anything today. She is being transported directly to our vets on Tuesday with the view to spay and absess treatment with volunteers who she trusts and myself befriending and calming her. _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier!
Darling Evie..she came down from the Midlands with 3 of her fans..all having got up at the crack of dawn to arrive at our vets at 8.30! They stayed with her until she went under at noon..on meeting her it was obvious this dog is a darling and meets all people very nicely. We left the vets with a busy team of beavers gowned and focused on Evie on her op. table.
Arrived to pick her up and I got one eye lid half opened and promptly shut. 45 minutes later, I pulled her to her feet and she jumped into the car with delight. We arrived at the kennels and I opened the car door. 'Now what! just leave me I'm having a lovely snooze' Sue and I walked her to her kennel with Graham making a fuss as well. Soft blanket and food ready she lay in her bed and asked me to turn the light out when I left.
Evie had a lump removed from her right chest side today. It was a tumour. We are getting it analysed and should have results back in 5 days. Sadly our vets think it might not be too friendly
Evie was spayed, glands expelled, teeth cleaned and chipped. _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier!
I brought Evie down today with Jase and John. Really glad that her op was a success. It has been an emotional day for everyone. Thankyou Lynn and the team for everything you have done and are doing for Evie. So glad we were able to stay with her. Im hoping and keeping my fingers crossed that her lump is not too serious but we are now bracing ourselves for the worst. Evie was absolutely brilliant today. We all love and miss her. We will be back down to see her as soon as we can x

she waited so long at the pound for her chance of a new home
Thank heavens you showed us the path to her. At least we can make sure she gets what she needs and give her a chance. _________________ SHARONR - ADMIN

Evie..my fault when she woke from her GA she immediately nursed her side I should have suggested a buster collar but didn't want to upset her in new surroundings. Well now she has a buster collar on but has removed her stitches before we managed it. She is being bought to Christabel tomorrow for a restitch and will have to live with the collar until WE remove her stitches!
She is coping very well and has made great friends with Sue _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier!
Evie had another operation today. She was wonderful in the vets with Sue as her 'rock' She doesn't like the muzzle but fortunately she was soon sleeping counting the bunny-rabbits jump over the styles!
So her main side-wound was completely re-done as was the other small one. Christabel felt that the issue was Evie's body was rejecting the cat gut .. yes Evie is allergic to cats! So different suturing material used, tied up with a hundred individual stitches! The sterile dressing over and my t-shirt coupled with a better buster collar! She has another small lump which we will have to review once the lab. results are back.
Suddenly she was round and suddenly jumping into the back of Sue's van. Christobel said I think she will tolerate us taking the stitches out without anaesthetic when required...yes Christabel... if she hasn't managed to do the job for you by then! _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier!
