Bella is a delightful dog who has been cared for since a puppy, well socialised and trained. She lives with young children and cats, to the point of drinking out of a shared water bowl. She is great off the lead and can be left without event. She is spayed, vax'd and chipped.
Bella has a strong collie element which leads her into 'ball obsession' and this has to be managed carefully for it not to become too stressful for her. She is great around other dogs and a loving family dog. Bella is a Collie sized dog with a wonderful temperament.

Well Bella was reserved as she came on to our books. Janet who adopted Paddy has been patiently looking for a second dog to offer Paddy company and so take pressure off the cats!; act as a role model and help another dog out in need. Today Paddy (in driving seat I think) , Janet and Olwen drove to the big smoke London and turned around 2 hours later with another four legged friend in their car.
| Quote: | Hi Lynne and Dee,
Been back about an hour - it's been a long day! It took us more than 3 hours to get back as there was an accident near Guildford.
Paddy and Bella seem to be hitting it off really well - as you can see from the photos. They haven't stopped playing together except when they were in the car, when Paddy went to sleep and Bella quietly moaned a bit. Not bad at all considering it was hot and we were in the car for ages. I took Della for a walk on the common on her own to see how she is on the lead - she is strong and probably a bit too much for mum but I don't think it will be a problem as her recall is excellent. I think she will be fine without a lead on the common. Do you think Mum would be able to manage her with a halti?
They've been playing since we got home - kept them separate for feeding and maybe they will sleep together downstairs tonight - we'll see.
I'll keep you both posted on how things are going and send some more photos,
Thanks for finding her for us - I will scan the completed release form tomorrow and send it to you,
Janet and Olwen xx |

| Just a quick update on Bella's progress. She has settled down very quickly with us and she is very patient with Paddy, who won't leave her alone for long!Bella sleeps through the night without a sound, and last night Paddy successfully joined her. Bella has met one of the cats and she ignored him completely - brilliant. Her recall is perfect, she is very obedient and affectionate. She's a really lovely dog. |

| Bella continues to be a delight. She is gentle, affectionate, playful, obedient and has the patience of a saint when it comes to putting up with Paddy's antics, the latest one being nibbling her ears when she wants to get some sleep. Bella is a very easy dog to be with and has fitted in with us perfectly. I think we'll have to get a bigger sofa next time though! The adoption papers are in the process of being completed. Thanks to all for finding her for us - it was well worth the wait. |
