|
|
We will be having a stall at the Victoria Park Midsummer Village Fair, Lauriston road, Hackney E9.
It is a local village fair that usually has all types of stalls and generally at least one of the shops has a barbeque and there is sometimes a live band. If the weather is nice, it can get quite busy (which would be good for us!!!)
It is literally round the corner from my house so i will be going and SharonR has said that she will come along too-any other takers????
It all starts at midday!!
xx

Sorry no can do but hope you have fun
I was going to recommend a sweetie tombola for any events like this. A lady did it at BOSC and sold aout very early on Basically she had filled recycled jars with sweeties and had a tombola - with 2 kids there, it cost me a small fortune
Just a thought for you - it did look very attractive too, just ask Sebastian and Rhianna. |

I did see Sebastian and Rhianna's prizes and thought that it was a fab idea, just using old jars!!
I am trying desparately to get to Costco before this (using my cousin's membership card) so that i can buy some boxes of sweets to either go in jars or in the same bags as the dog biscuits |

It is running from 12-6pm, so if you are in the area please stop by |

The weather was indeed fine (i have the slight sunburn to prove it!!) We had a really good day!! The dog biscuits proved to be very popular and we even had to restock with frozen liver cake!! We also had a tombola (which we also had to restock!) and a children's tombola. We also gave out quite a few poster to interested parties and have some local shops pledging support (putting up posters etc).
We met some very lovely people and one lady even went home to bring us her spare change collection!!!!! The lovely man with her also gave us a tenner!!!
Miss Sharon will be on in bit with the vital numbers but, at the very least, there are a few more people in the world who know about RR and the fabulous work we all do!!!!! |

Wow, we had a lovely day today and the sun shone! The villagers of Hackney gave us a very warm welcome and we ended up with two tables (one free) instead of one for which we were very grateful!
As usual, Tina D's Liver Cake & Home Made Dog Biscuit kept selling out and mum had to bring more in from home to replenish supplies, 'thanks' mum - plus the cream cheese/smoked salmon bagel was also gratefully received ! Tina D even gave out her e-mail address to locals to supply them further when their stock runs out! Lets hope she get some orders for RR.
Our neighbouring stall, the residents association, had a good day and packed up early. They gave us first refusal on anything they had left and we cherry picked for free picking up some more stuff for our next sale!
Several local shops (book shop, hairdressers) have offered to display our posters/business cards and are very supportive - Tina is going to give me their e-mail addresses so that we can send the RR poster on a monthly basis. The lady that runs the local book shop and arranges the fair and has put us on her mailing list for a stall at the December fair.
Several people made enquiries about rehoming and now have our posters.
The total raised for the day was ... drum roll ... £186.00.
Our next fundraising event is: Battersea Dog Show, Battersea Park - 28th June, 2009 _________________ SHARONR - ADMIN
